Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 is not a complete package. It does not have a lot of content compared to older collection and also lacks some features and games like Mega Man & Bass. But still, it contains four great 2D platformer games which fans of the series will surely enjoy playing

I am crossing all of my body parts hoping that we see a third collection containing the likes of the Game Boy games, Mega Man & Bass and Wily Wars, as I have enjoyed every minute of Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, despite missing a few key features found in the first collection.

The love for Mega Man continues to pour in this collection. For any fan or even curious observer, this collection is for you and the best way to experience these games today. With numerous hours of content, even beyond the games, poured into a single collection, there’s no reason not to pick it up. There’s really not much left you can say, except, this is what remasters should strive to be and perhaps even surpass.

"Well-made collection featuring tons of extras, though the games are not equally good."

Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 houses four games from The Blue Bomber's past that offer a surprising amount of variety.

If you played the first compilation, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 brings no surprises and that's great. This collection includes Mega Man 7 to 10, catering obviously to fans of the blue robot, with added challenges but might be too difficult for newcomers.

Even though these are all solid titles, something about this just feels like a ‘B-sides' collection of sorts.

Somehow, Capcom has managed to find a way to weaponize concentrated nostalgia, and set us all in their cross-hairs. While not as impressive as the first iteration in terms of quality and amount of content, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, is still worth a purchase for damn near any gamer. It manages to be grounded in history, while still adding in just enough modern flourishes to help keep the challenge manageable. If recent history is any indication, it's probably best to indulge yourself and savor every byte of digital goodness. Lord knows when we will get the chance to see the Blue Bomber again.

A pretty good remastered compilation of Mega Man 7, 8, 9 and 10. Great visuals and audio, and some extras like the challenge mode that makes Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 a nice addition to the collection of all Mega Man fans.

This is the second collection of Mega Man games so it doesn't really manage to look as appealing as the first time, but the games that are included in this Legacy Collection are still extremely fun on their own.

Even though it isn't as robust as past collections of the series, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 is still worth getting if you're a Mega Man fan. The eighth game may be a letdown, but it demonstrates some fun moments while the other three titles are solid. It isn't bursting with extras, and the inclusion of side games would've made this perfect, but for some people, it might be enough to be able to play MM9 and MM10 properly with save states.

If you're a fan of Mega Man or want to catch up on the series, Mega Man Legacy Collection 1+2 is your chance to do so on a portable system, making this perhaps one of its best incarnations.

I did like going back through the four games on offer with Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 overall. The features included are exactly the same as the first Legacy Collection and the way saving works now makes for a fairer challenge that doesn't make things too easy. It's just a shame the enhanced version of Mega Man 8 wasn't used and Mega Man & Bass was not included, as it gives the impression Capcom's heart wasn't quite in it. It's a decent collection, but plays things far too safe.

I love Mega Man games. They're some of the best platforms ever made. However, as much as I enjoy the four titles bundled within its bits and bytes, Mega Man Collection 2 would be difficult to recommend if it cost a penny more than its $20 asking price. It's hard enough to recommend as it is. How much you get out of it will depend on how much you still enjoy a core gameplay loop that hasn't evolved much since 1988, and how much you want to rescue Mega Man 9 from last-gen purgatory.

Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 lacks on content, with only four games... and not the best ones. But it's still enjoyable and it's still Mega Man.

Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 is a great way to check out Mega Man's later outings, but the presentation just seems a bit lackluster between the challenges not being as interesting as the original game or the puzzling omission of Rockman & Forte/Mega Man & Bass.  The museum and music box modes are still good and it's nice to still practice against the various robot masters.  What we did get is still pretty good, but not quite as good as the original Legacy Collection.

The second Mega Man collection is a touch light on content, and by this point the formula has grown tired. That doesn't mean there isn't joy to be had though, as what is on offer remains as solid, colorful, and stimulating as ever.

Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 may not be as sizable when compared to its predecessor, but it still boasts four solid entries from Capcom's dormant franchise.

All told, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 feels like a letdown compared to the stellar presentation of its predecessor. Missing features and lower quality games easily make this the more skippable of the two, although that doesn't necessarily mean that this is a bad collection. We'd recommend this to any fans of the Mega Man series – 9 and 10 just about justify the collection on their own – but those who are looking to get their feet wet may want to pass on this and just get the first collection. Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 is good, but it's not great, so think twice before taking the plunge.

If these variables aren't enough to deter you, then these collections are a welcome addition to any Switch library. They are an affordable taste of one of gaming's most iconic mascots, offering hours of gameplay, extensive bonus content and challenges, and flexibility to be played either as they were, or as you would like it.
