Cat Quest Reviews
Cat Quest is a game that stays with the roots of the ARPG genre and makes fun of it in every aspect. A brave and rogue game that is really fun and nice due to its simplicity and duration. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

Cat Quest is definitely good fun for a few hours and can be quite humorous, but a lack of depth to the basic gameplay loop means it gets repetitive and it's easy to lose interest. Once you reach that point, tolerance for cat puns wears thin and the bright, cheerful aesthetic, while nicely realised and attractive enough, isn't enough to keep people coming back. The only thing left to look forward to is the quirky side quests, which can be written well enough but again, are based around cat puns.
Colorful and fun, Cat Quest is a simple action-RPG with a great heart. And lots of cats.

Cat Quest is a lovely action RPG that will be enjoyable for newcomers to RPGs and veterans who like cats.
It feels like the Gentlebros were having a blast making this game. After beating the boss, there are plenty of other side quests to go on if you'd like, and the generous save system makes it possible to play it for just a little while and then put it down. Cat Quest doesn't reinvent the RPG genre. Instead it just does it well, with some cute cats to boot.
Cat Quest is a delightfully charming experience, one that people may overlook as a kids game, and they would be sorely mistaken.
Cat Quest does exactly what it says on the tin - this is a full RPG experience, condensed into a few hours of play, stuffed to the brim with adorable kitties and cat puns. If you want a short but sweet RPG with plenty of moments that will make you smile, Cat Quest can be a great choice, especially for kids.
An adorably charming action RPG, Cat Quest might not hold a great deal of challenge for veterans, but youngsters, genre newbies and especially cat owners will find much to love in its epic tale of furious furries.
Cat Quest is a decent little game that we'd definitely recommend, with a charmingly cute presentation and a solid combat system that together form an overall enjoyable experience. Although you will definitely feel the pangs of repetition, there's just about enough here to keep you engaged until you reach the title's satisfying conclusion. If you're a big RPG fan or you're a cat purr-son, then Cat Quest is going to be right up your alley.
Cat Quest's combat can get stale and the lacklustre dungeon design definitely hampers exploration, but the surprisingly entertaining story and cool loot system is enough to keep you engaged to see it through to the end, if, you're playing in short bursts.
As polished as Cat Quest may be, it does have a few downsides. The strong focus on cats and endless supply of cat puns is obviously not a world everyone will want to immerse themselves in – especially if you are a dog lover. However, if you are willing to overlook this and the basic design, what is on offer is a functional role-playing game that can be played for short or longer periods of time by players of all ages and cat lovers alike.
Cat Quest is a lightweight action-RPG that doesn't demand a lot of your precious time yet provides a deep enough experience to scratch a much deeper itch. It's a purrfect addition to the Nintendo Switch lineup.
Cat Quest is a good, short RPG that any cat lover will enjoy; just don't go into it looking for anything more than cute kitties and tons of feline puns.
Full of fun and a joy to get lost in, Cat Quest is only a few whiskers short of being the purrfect game.
Cat Quest is strongly hindered by its original mobile game nature, but even with the excessive semplification of mechanics and short longevity it can bring a smile to gamers, providing to be accessible even for inexperienced players

A cute hack-and-slash RPG with a lot of charm that falls short of the mark thanks to its inescapable tedium
Cat Quest is a mobile phone game turned Switch RPG that has an adorable facade, cat puns, and not much else.
Cat Quest turned out to be a low impact game with a high emphasis on fun.
Cat Quest is a game about a cat going on an adventure, nothing more and nothing less, but I'll tell you what: it's a bloody good adventure.
Despite some irritating writing, and some difficulty balancing issues, Cat Quest is an amazing RPG. It takes the best features of other RPGs, and distils them down into a simple cocktail of fun mechanics and memorable moments. This should do good to scratch an itch for those who have never played a game like it, and those who swear by them. In short, this is a solid title, with few issues really holding it back.
