Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is the biggest game on Nintendo Switch, which lacks polishing of individual elements. Nevertheless, thanks to the unique world, the best combat system in the series, beautiful music, great characters and spectacular vistas - it's really difficult to stop playing and enjoying. Even in spite of some strangeness, gameplay limitations and excessive anime vibes, we spent about 150 hours in Xenoblade 2 and look forward to the new game Monolith Soft.

While it's definitely got its flaws, and it doesn't quite reach the same exceptional standards as its predecessor, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is definitely worth playing. With robust, customizable combat, fun characters and an interesting story, and huge environments to explore, it's one of the best games on the Switch and an excellent RPG.

Despite some technical hesitation and certain little edges in the gameplay it's impossible to remain indifferent to a job of such scale and quality.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is absolutely huge, but it's not a case of quantity over quality.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 makes up in manic energy what it lacks in elegance. Its mountain of ideas don't always work, but the core of the game justifies its experiments. Buy it.
Overall, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a very good role-playing game and one that not only is a proud addition to the Xeno series but also adds another great game to the library of the already buoyant Switch. That said, the discrepancy in performance between the docked and portable versions of the game is somewhat unfortunate and may limit your enjoyment.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is the latest great exclusive for Nintendo Switch; a huge, deep Japanese RPG, which sometimes feels "too generic". We love the titan made world and its complex battle system, but sometimes we lose track of the main story.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a phenomenal RPG. It's a truly incredible piece of work that builds and expands on the series' staples, while turning into a unique and heartfelt adventure all of its own.

To the delight of many, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is less X and more traditional Xenoblade. Although they all have a special place in my library, I appreciate the return to what brought Monolith Soft back into the public eye after a series of portable games.

Like the world of Alrest, there's very little holding up Xenoblade 2. It is dull, dreary, overly complicated, and unconcerned with wasting the player's time. Life is just too short for that—even if you don't live on a sea of sinking clouds.
