Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom Reviews
Ni no Kuni II is easily one of the best RPGs on the PS4 and PC. A masterpiece that needs to be played by everyone, regardless if you like RPGs or not.
Ni No Kuni 2 is a wholesome adventure that improves on the first game. New additions like the kingdom building adds another to the franchise. The art design and visuals are some of the best on the PS4 and the combat and exploration are both fun and engaging.
This feels like the beginning of a new major RPG franchise to compete with the other giants. If you like this style of game you'll love it and if you're not usually into JRPGs it's a perfect gateway to the genre.
A sweet, whimsical adventure in a faraway land you'll love getting lost in.
Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is a charming and beautiful game that is just as much fun to play as it is to look at.
Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is able to create a brand new world and adventure separate from Wrath of the White Witch, but is able to feel familiar enough where fans of the first game will feel right at home.
[Review in progress] 7 hours in and this game is addictive and rewarding in a way that suggests there will few other games this year that can compete. It is as if Level-5 have put everything they have done in a cauldron and magically created this incredible RPG.
Absolutely recommended.
We're two (main) games in now, and on the strength and consistency of these two I think it's safe to say that Ni No Kuni has every chance to become a major JRPG franchise that will last into the very long term.
Ni no Kuni II is one of those games that delivers a positive vibe not just through gameplay, but deeper stories, solid characters, as well as outstanding visuals and soundtrack. Moreover, it comes with fresh ideas that make it more engaging and fun, something that we rarely get these days from major franchises.
Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom is essentially a complete reboot offering a clean slate. The new Kingdom Builder mechanic is extremely addicting and even though the combat has its flaws, the visuals and the beautiful soundtrack make it one of the most enticing RPG released by Level 5 so far.
Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom isn't a conventional sequel. It has mostly superficial similarities to the first game, but it's one of the most genuinely enjoyable and fun JRPGs to come out in a long time. A charming story, delightful cast of characters, exciting gameplay and amazing presentation combine to make a game that is a boatload of fun to play. Its only real flaw is sometimes getting too bogged down in its own systems, and the story could be meatier. JRPG fans of all ages should find a lot to love here, and it's a must-have for anyone who loves the genre.
Level-5 has made something truly special, managing to capture the whimsical and heartfelt charm of a Ghibli story even more so than when it worked with Ghibli itself! This is an absolutely wonderful tale; a fantastic fable that makes up for every little flaw by giving the player a monumental amount of things to do and play with. Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is a must play for Ghibli fans, fans of the first Ni No Kuni, fans of JRPGs, Suikoden fans, and just about anyone who appreciates a good adventure in general.
Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is a massive step-up when compared to the game that came before it.
Ni no Kuni II is great game and stunning sequel with some new elements. JRPG Fans will not be disappointed.

Level-5 has done it again as they delivered another thoroughly enjoyable JRPG thus proving that the genre isn't going anywhere.
If you're a fan of the first title you won't be disappointed with Ni No Kuni 2. Although it mostly feels like an entirely new game, it is for the better.
Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is definitely the most beautiful RPG of this year so far. The little details, the great side stories, every little npc and the wonderful animations also makes the second entry of the series an amazing experience. Even if the recruiting of people sometimes feel like a painful chore and the tactical parts of the gameplay doesn't always shine, the rest of the games features make you forget about it.

A sweeping and poignant epic, Ni no Kuni II is the kind of game that will steal weeks of your life – the main campaign takes at least 40 hours, and then there’s a wealth of side quests and other asides that add even more value to the package. In short, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is a masterpiece that JRPG fans will not want to miss.
Overall, Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom gets a 9/10, improving on the prequel, adding in new mechanics and everything makes this on par, if not better, than the first game. Overused voice cues can feel grating at times, alongside some mechanics taking too long are some aspects that do bring the game down a bit.
