This second episode is again stunning and emotionally capitvating, even a little slower though. Before the Storm is going to be a strong prequel to Life is Strange, even better in some ways.

It's heart-breaking to see this happen to good people, but it's also tough to get too invested in anything that's tangential to Chloe and Rachel's plight. We're barreling toward a conclusion and we already know it's more tragedy than comedy. Brave New World cements Before the Storm as Chloe and Rachel's story. They're the lead roles and everyone else is just set dressing.

The second episode of Life is Strange: Before The Storm digs deep into the emotional tale behind Chloe and Rachel and made me want to see them succeed. Interactions with other characters can feel unimportant despite context, but many of these choices feel like they will actually hold consequence and are more believable than the first episode. Frustrating fetch quests interrupt what is ultimately an engaging story which leaves me needing to know what's coming next.

Before The Storm Episode 2, Brave New World, is packed full of nods to the original Life Is Strange but the brashness and immaturity of Chloe is starting to wear thin.

A powerful central relationship, an enigmatic plot, and terrific writing all elevate Before the Storm above the original series. This is fantastic adventure gaming, and some of the best writing in games at the moment, held back only by slightly shallow mechanics.

The episode is filled with interesting storylines and events wrapped around intricate and addictive dialogue. I really love how well the characters are brought to life in this series. Rachel and Chloe’s relationship still remains the highlight and is a joy to watch. It’s sweet and fragile yet bold and adventurous. The two compliment and contrast each other so well and the dialogue just flows when they are together.

It's another fantastically told tale of teenage drama, family and friendship, and developer Deck Nine has once again proved itself worthy of delivering a package that more than lives up to Dontnod's original vision.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm - Brave New World is a emotional roller-coaster, but in a good way. Strong character development and genuine twists that make for a solid sophomore entry in this three-part prequel.

Life Is Strange: Before the Storm Episode 2: Brave New World showed me what Deck Nine is capable of in terms of storytelling and character growth. Also, the game's choice system is well thought out and represented a wide variety of possibilities for many types of players. Lastly, after finishing Brave New World, I'd like to add that the worries I originally had for the rest of the series drifted away as Chloe and myself looked towards the future Episodes.

There are a lot of little stories going on in Before the Storm, and each one of them has me hooked and I can't wait to see how they all come to an end in episode three. If episode one introduced us to the Rachel and Chloe's relationship, episode two cracked it wide open, showing a more vulnerable and emotionally open Rachel from the closed-off one we were initially introduced to in episode one.

While a few problems are certainly present, Life is Strange: Before the Storm is still on the right track. The characters and plot points remain interesting and the choices, when real choices, are very well thought out.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm Ep.2 builds a story in which both the player and Chloe herself explore her personality. The narrative's pace suits perfectly the game but, with just 1 episode left, it leaves a lot more questions than answers.

The second episode of Life Is Strange: Before the Storm focuses more on the relationship between Chloe and her friend Rachel, and manages to interest you and your emotions towards the two girls and the desire to know their fate in the events of the third episode. The episode also contains a set of fateful decisions that you must take, which are expected to have a significant impact on upcoming events.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm delivers another emotionally-charged episode in its second installment, Brave New World, hitting all the right narrative beats to set up players for a grueling journey in episode three—even if it's saving many key elements that tie into the original game for the final episode.
