I started The Raven Remastered with a bit of a soured opinion. Here was this game I had never heard of getting a remaster, it looks like an original Pixar attempt at making human features, and the dialogue is cheesier than the Power Rangers reruns my sons enjoy. I'm so glad I didn't rely upon first impressions, because like Constable Zellner, the game is deeper than it looks and has a story that will keep players guessing. I couldn't ask for much more in a great whodunnit.

They all have their own interesting backstories and the voice acting done here is very engaging.

Though technically flawed, The Raven Remastered is a leisurely and charming point and click adventure that fans of the genre will enjoy.

For newcomers to the mystery genre, The Raven Remastered is a fantastic game to whet your appetite. It'll take around 12 hours to complete - more if you want to be thorough and sit through its lengthy dialogue options. It comes bundled with a well-crafted story, delightfully bizarre characters to interact with, and just the right amount of puzzle solving to keep you satiated, though it's not the prettiest of games to endure. Its faithful marriage to 1960s crime dramas is apparent, and we had fun unravelling its mysteries from start to finish, twists 'n' turns alike.

The Raven Remastered is not a revolutionary take on point and click adventures but it does a very good job at representing the genre in the contemporary age, especially in how it corrects some of the issues that affected those games in years past. Its original and interesting plot, as well as the high quality sound component and art style make this a very recommended game for longtime fans of the point and click genre.

Updated graphics and a stellar mystery cannot save The Raven from its slow, frustrating gameplay. While not an unbearable experience, the overall package is brought down significantly by the mechanics.

A good remastering of a game belonging to a genre of the past.

The Raven Remastered is still a game with a good story, but outdated visuals, clunky animations and sometimes boring dialogues prevent it from reaching an higher score.

A story that keeps you on the edge of your seat is hugely important to point and click adventures such as The Raven Remastered. And thanks to its clever writing and mostly believable voice acting, it manages to accomplish that.

That's probably a good way to sum up The Raven Remastered: serviceable but underwhelming. The title shows plenty of promise with its characters and story, but the sluggish gameplay, questionable acting, and mediocre audiovisual presentation drag it down. Mystery fans and avid Christie book readers will find something to like with The Raven's narrative, but the rougher edges make it a tough experience to recommend to all but the most dedicated and patient of players.

The Raven Remastered is successful in telling a strong story with a lot of surprises. It raises many questions in your mind, and keeps you playing until finding all the answers. However, the bugs and some other problems prevent us calling it a great game.

For Christie nuts, The Raven is one of the better attempts to do her style of detective mystery that Christie herself wasn't involved in. It's well performed and convincing, and the age of the game is hardly a concern because, dated as it looks at times, the appeal of this one has to do more about the cerebral. It's all about the storytelling, in other words, and that side of things is spot on.

If you fancy a good mystery, maybe The Raven Remastered is the right game for you. But if it's a saucy story you're looking for, look elsewhere. Although it sounds like a pretty tasty tale to dig into, The Raven Remastered will leave you with more questions than answers.

The Raven Remastered is a welcome return for a point-and-click adventure that pays homage to classics such as Monkey Island and Broken Sword. This renewed edition adds the support of 4K gaming along with a very interesting plot, that will let you experience a mysterious story from the perspective of different characters.

It is quite unfortunate that the Remastered version of The Raven did not fix the problems that seem to be inherent in the first game. It just wound up giving us a better looking way to ruin the experience.

Overall, the riveting plot of The Raven will keep you hooked right to the very end if you can look past the strange character models and don't mind spending more time reading and listening than actually playing.

Remastered titles are big business at the moment, yet they aren’t all worth the effort. The Raven: Remastered is different. A nicely updated look, and quicker loading times make this more accessible than the original. With a fantastic story, excellent acting, great audio, and in keeping imagery, this is a game worth losing yourself in. I recommend you give this a go, and a copy can be purchased here! Can Zellner and Legrand work together to solve the mystery? Buy a copy and become a famous detective.

The story is worth following, the characters worth knowing and the clues worth finding. It’s only the execution that let this game down. Gotta fix up the gameplay a bit to get the big scores.
