Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a tour of some of the platforming genre’s most important history and hopefully a sign of things to come.
There is something magical about this trilogy. Sure Crash had more fanfare, but Spyro feels like a piece of history lost. Going back to these games was a pure joyful experience. Whether it was my fatigue of current titles or just that I crave colorful platformers, I cannot recommend this game enough. Even with its blemishes it was a title that I spent the most time smiling while playing.

All three games are presented in picturesque graphics that are right out of a Pixar film, bolstering lighthearted charm everywhere you look. The crisp and fluid controls still stand the test of time, echoing the overall craftsmanship of the originals and that unique soundtrack composed by Stewart Copeland is still drumming along to the beat of its own drum. Spyro's original series translates seamlessly onto a modern generation of consoles.
Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a faithful recreation of the original three Spyro games for current gen consoles. Toys for Bob was able to get the look and feel of Spyro down while adding a cherry on top bundling it all together and creating a new and improved soundtrack.
Spyro Reignited Trilogy relies on the nostalgic accuracy of its colors and commands and turns out to be a fun and enjoyable game. It does not provide great challenges, but it entertains and satisfies all ages, from the oldest player who accompanied the original games to the novices in this world of jewelry, dragons, colors and lots of fire.
