The first Call of Duty without singleplayer campaign is still good choice for players. Multiplayer now adds Battle Royale mode.

Although there is no story-based single player campaign as we know in the COD series, Black Ops 4 is still one of the best COD experiences ever. A full featured multi player campaign, along with a solid Zombie mode, and of course the new Blackout mode that adds Battle Royal features to the series, make Black Ops 4 not only of the best entries in the series, but also one of the best games of 2018.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is both broad and deep, but the star is its smartly executed take on battle royale, Blackout.

The courage of Treyarch must always be rewarded, and that is why we feel confident in affirming that, for now, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 can really make a difference in its own genre, especially thanks to the new Blackout mode. Nice job!

Treyarch and Activision have managed to achieve with Black Ops 4 exactly what fans were asking for. An addictive multiplayer mode, a bigger than ever zombie experience and a Blackout option that despite of it being in the need for improvements, leaves a really good impression. The Call of Duty saga is back for good with a game that will certainly be worthy of your time.

Black Ops 4 pulls together three distinct parts to create an incredible and dense whole. The action is tight, the changes are smart and well-executed, and Blackout may be the most exciting thing out this year. This is the best Call of Duty has been in years.

Black Ops 4 has managed to not only prove itself but on top set a new benchmark in quality for the Call of Duty series. It is one of the most enjoyable multiplayer games present on consoles. The lack of a traditional single-player campaign doesn't manage to distract away from the polished gameplay of the Blackout mode.

Multiplayer could still use some balance and spawn tweaking, Specialist HQ's implementation flopped, and there are still bugs to be addressed. Nonetheless, there is something here that feels like the biggest step in the right direction the Call of Duty series has taken in a long time.

Gone are the days where Call Of Duty sets the trends, but Black Ops 4 does a great job of keeping up. Choosing which mode to play first every time I launch the game is a struggle, with each being unique and impressive in their own way. Black Ops 4's individual components may not be groundbreaking, but as a package, it's one of the most refined Call Of Duty games. Black Ops 4 is a complete and polished package with Treyarch's deft touch of quality.

If you're a fan of Call of Duty multiplayer offerings - boy howdy do Treyarch have an instalment for you. But, if you're in it for the single player, you're going to be severely disappointed – though hopefully that's not a surprise, considering we've known there would be no campaign for five months. The combination of Multiplayer, Zombies and the brilliant new Battle Royale mode Blackout, offer a multiplayer feast. A smorgasbord of experiences which makes it feel like a package which will remain interesting, fun and exciting far beyond the release of the next annual COD instalment.

Essentially, Black Ops 4 a Frankenstein Monster of a FPS experience. That’s fine. It’s also a little bit sad. Time will tell if the package peels further back to reveal more of its own soul.

With 3 strong and well designed online experiences, Black Ops 4 achieves a fantastic and addictive experience for young players. With it's own Battle Royale called Black Out turns out to be better than people expect and could set a new direction for this popular genre. A must entry for Call of Duty long time fans.

Black Ops 4 is easily the best Call Of Duty has been in years. The game plays almost flawlessly, and despite it not having a single player campaign still offers lots of content including the new Battle Royale mode Blackout. The only thing keeping Black Ops 4 from a perfect score is that the multiplayer maps, while being well designed lack originality and rely too heavily on remaking the past. If you haven't played Call Of Duty for a while, Black Ops 4 gives you plenty of reasons to return.

Treyarch has once again taken the Call of Duty to the next level, by adding something completely different – much like they did with Zombies. Call of Duty Black Ops 4 has taken bits from a lot of other popular games. Be it the instant hit Blackout, from the rise in popularity of battle royal, or Heist mode where you gain income each round but must purchase weaponry, akin to Counter Strike Global Offensive. Treyarch seems to have been happy to do this and experiment with features like a tweaked health system. It has paid off, despite there not being the storyline to play, there is more than ever to keep gamers hooked and playing Call of Duty for the next year!
