'Spider-Man: Turf Wars' is a middle of the road expansion of one of the year's best games. Lacking in anything new or exciting to draw players back in, 'Turf Wars' skips the opportunity to either resolve plot points or do right by its characters.

Turf Wars is a disappointing chapter that does little in progressing the main narrative of The City That Never Sleeps storyline.

Sadly the second DLC for Spider-Man disappoints. It's more of the same with a run of the mill story that ties you over until the third and final part. The one saving grace is the great gameplay that keeps you from hooked until the end.

Turf Wars is a substantial step down from The Heist as its unvaried and brief campaign along with its stereotypical story make it an easily forgettable piece of content.

Turf Wars feels like an unfortunate filler chapter in Spider-Man's DLC trilogy. It's too short and uneven to make any lasting impact on its own, putting a lot of pressure on its final chapter to deliver something worthwhile.

Turf Wars is the awkward middle child of the City That Never Sleeps story DLC. It doesn't have the initial excitement of The Heist and is more or less just a set up for the final DLC, but it's still a load of fun considering we get to jump back into the world of Spider-Man.

Turf Wars is a very simple and short DLC. The fighting is challenging and some missions are interesting, but the story has a poor development and there is no novelty in the gameplay. Like the previous DLC, it's "more of the same".

Though the thrill of being Spider-Man has barely dulled, Turf Wars simply doesn't offer enough content, new or otherwise, to keep you engaged for any decent period of time.

Short and kinda weak DLC aimed at those who want a little more from this game. It ends with a fairly simple boss fight. The story finale awaits us in the next episode.

Spider-Man’s second DLC is rather average but helps setup things for an interesting finale.

'Turf Wars' shows promise in its two hour story, but mostly sets up a more interesting third act with (hopefully) more interesting boss fights. At some points, it’s far too hard and the last fight is almost unfair. But the core of what made the main game so compelling is all still intact and is more than enough reason to pick up the DLC.

Whilst more Spider-Man is never a bad thing, the DLC doesn't last that long, and there's nothing really new to keep you entertained outside the story.

A DLC that makes almost the same things as previous DLCs but being less interesting.

Turf Wars is a step back when compared to The Heist; suit selection has improved (the original Iron Spider is amazing), but it's extremilly short. Fingers crossed this means the last and final episode will be a grand epic finale.

Marvel's Spider-Man: Turf Wars was a step down from the last release, but builds towards what could be a very exciting conclusion.

Like the first one, second DLC does not bring with it anything new, and is aimed at those who are looking for an excuse to return to the game in the form of an interesting story, but for those looking for something substantial this also isn't it.

Although there is not much improvements comparing to the previous DLC, Turf Wars is still a solid action-adventure due to its core gameplay mechanics, and plays an important role in laying the ground for Spider-Man: Silver Lining.

In truth, the real value of Turf Wars is entirely dependent on the final piece of DLC scheduled to hit a month from now. Provided it delivers on an exciting finale, all of the rough spots in the tale will be worth it. Until then, your enjoyment of the Turf Wars DLC will be entirely dependent on how excited you are to fight loads of enemies and how invested you are in the characterization of one of your allies. Overall, it isn't great, but it does enough to keep things intriguing until the final installment.

The second DLC is a step back and Hammered is a less interesting villain with a very poor characterization. We hope that Silver Lining, at least, will be a perfect finale.

As many faults as I can find with Turf Wars, it's still a lot of fun to play. Stepping back into the Spidey suit is exhilarating, and this chapter offers up some of the toughest challenges yet. Turf Wars is more Spider-Man, and while it's a lot of fun, it mostly retreads on things that we've seen or done in the main campaign without meaningful advancement. The story has a lot of dark potential, though it's clearly the middle of a three-part arc. It rushes its opening and conclusion, but does touch on some very interesting themes. We've still got one DLC chapter to go that will close out The City That Never Sleeps story arc. I'm hoping that it actually ties up some of these loose story threads, despite each DLC being available individually. More and more, it's looking like the best way to experience The City That Never Sleeps is as one big arc, rather than broken into chunks through the split release (and if you're waiting on all three to release before jumping in, keep an eye out for a giveaway from us next month).
