The Division 2 feels like a new benchmark for the looter shooter genre. The game feels surprisingly well refined at launch, with a wonderful amount of content, solid endgame and great gameplay changes coming from the original. The combat feels both tactical and fun, particularly when played with others, and D.C. is teeming with loot around every corner. Whilst there's some bugs here and there, and the game's narrative could be significantly better, The Division 2 provides a fantastic base for Ubisoft to build upon moving forward.

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is absolutely packed with content and things to do, and those things to do never, ever get boring. There’s so much to talk about still, but this is such a wonderfully crafted game. With such a focus on longevity and setting the bar so high for quality of activities, it gives me the confidence in this game, and its future updates. I’ve never before seen such care taken into account for all players at every turn of a game. This is the most improved sequel ever made. Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is simply astounding.

There’s a lot of good to be said about the world of The Division 2. The world feels very real, characters feel absolutely believable, and the game was crafted with obvious love. For some, especially fans of looter games, they will find a satisfying loop of running, gunning, grenades and gear to please the palate. For others, myself included, the core gameplay loop never becomes anything deeper than exactly what it appears, and the seemingly endless cycle of upgrading gear just to get more will wear itself thin before you reach the highest tiers of power.

The Division 2 is looking and feeling great at first glimpse. It seems Massive Entertainment has improved almost every aspect of the game from the first Division. Also, the free expansions are really great because the community will not be split across the season.

In light of a half-hearted predecessor and a lot of skepticism going in, The Division 2 delivers in what it sets out to do. It's an exciting third-person co-op experience with the run and gun of the original capitalized on in the best way possible for the current generation.

The Division 2 is a product of years of love, labour and listening, iterating and reiterating on what worked in the previous game, and adding and changing based on developer and community feedback. Everything feels polished and thought out, making you come back for some more.

If you like shooters in any way shape or form I’d totally recommend this, even if you don’t like shared world shooters this is perfectly playable throughout the campaign in solo but it definitely becomes more fun if you get a little squad together and roam the streets of Washington together, the depth of the content here is vast and there is a huge amount of enjoyment to be had in the world, looking at Ubisoft’s pedigree with Games as a Service this one looks like it will run for a very long time.

Tom Clancy's The Division 2 is without a doubt a very good game. Concept and mechanics introduced by its predecessor are almost identical, but now even better. If you enjoyed the first game, you will be certainly satisfied with the sequel too.

Despite squandering a great setting and premise, The Division 2 is an incredibly fun game to play which improves on almost everything the first one brought to the table.

Recent games have reminded me that sometimes great execution is better than a noble failure, and The Division 2 executes on its concept with finesse. The story is lackluster, and the real-world aesthetic will turn of some players, but it doesn't matter because the core and flow of this looter shooter is great. There are something things that could be tweaked, like enemy density and their ability to one-shot you, but overall The Division 2 is a sequel done right.

The Division 2 is pretty to look at, detailed and mechanically strong. It's extremely content heavy to the end and more importantly beyond the end. It is the top of the line looter shooter of choice right now and it raises the bar for the genre. Its story and voice acting are disappointing and it has a couple of small design flaws, but they hardly make a dent in an otherwise brilliant game.

The end result is a loot shooter far more confident and coherent than what we've seen before. Ubisoft Massive has learned from past mistakes, side-stepping those same pitfalls to deliver a sequel that feels dense without becoming tangled. There are still some rough edges and the burden of carrying a limp story but, ultimately, The Division 2 triumphs over everything else this genre currently has to offer.

The Division 2 keeps an impressive number of plates spinning while skirting clear of the soulless live-service void. It isn’t perfect by any means, but Massive has done a remarkable job of making a potentially messy experience feel uncommonly holistic.

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 expands the established gameplay mechanics and the world from its predecessor with amazing endgame content and lots of surprising enemy variety that was missed in The Division. Sadly the story sinks in the crowd of countless objectives and new content, which together with some gameplay bugs and glitches doesn't let the title reach its full potential.
