"Glorious return to form."

There's only two questions that matter: "Do you love Nintendo?" and "Do you enjoy hitting things 'til they go flying off into the stratosphere?"
When all is said and done, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is a fantastic entry into the series. The amount of content in the game is truly incredible and Mr. Sakurai and the teams at Sora Ltd. and Capcom have put a ton of work into the title. When the title was first mentioned at E3 2011, fans were ecstatic to finally be getting some new Smash, and the long wait up until 2014 was a hard time for many Nintendo fans.
A great celebration of Nintendo's history in one, super fun fighting game.
Titles that will mark the history of video games, we find perhaps 3 or 4 per generation of consoles. It's very little, still happy, but it's the price of skimming. For many, Smash Bros. on Wii U will be part of this race, that of the venerable, of those who will be talked about by the fire to our grandchildren.

The best Super Smash Bros. game yet.
Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U builds on the best of the series and perhaps the only thing you may miss in the game is more interesting 3rd party characters.

Super Smash Bros. Wii U is a celebration, a party for gamers where they can enjoy beating the crap out of their friends all in good fun. It's a nostalgia-fuelled trip that will likely keep players busy for months, and even if you unlock everything the game has to offer you'll come back for the Smash Battles. It's a game that belongs in every Wii U owners library and indeed the big screen.
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U holds these two opposite impulses — the creative and destructive — together for a few moments. While it's impossible for that union to endure, there is some magic in seeing the worlds overlap for a few moments, swollen to the point of bursting, with the kind of make-believe that one forgets about in adult life but never really outgrows.
The Super Smash Bros franchise captures Nintendo's videogame history beautifully and its arrival in HD means that you can now enjoy it in finer detail.
Ask me what the best experience is on the Wii U and I would tell you Smash Bros. in a heartbeat. After a long winter of Nintendo titles that didn't quite hit the high note that people expected, Smash Bros. makes up for any shortcomings Nintendo has had in recent years. You don't even have to be a fan of fighting games to love Super Smash Bros. because it's a genre of its own. Its Nintendo's finest hour and I'll still be enjoying this game long after %100 completion.
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U delivers hour after hour of fun fighting game play, even if you hate fighting games.
If you're looking for a reason to buy a Wii U, Super Smash Bros is your best bet. It's the most polished and fun Smash Bros. game I've played. For someone who loves video games like I do, seeing all these characters, as well as the extra trophies and the amazing soundtrack, I have just as much fun perusing the little extra details as fighting itself. With so much content, I'll be playing for years to come.
Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U is a no-brainer. If you own the console, there really is no reason for not owning the title already. There is enough content, fun, and joy to keep players busy for perpetuity.
When it all comes down to it, Super Smash Bros for Wii U is a well put together game. It knows what it wants to be - and what it sets out to accomplish, it does so in spades! The gameplay is solid, smooth, and enjoyable - and the entire product has been polished to an absolute shine! Don't let the name fool you; as this game has a personality all of its own!
Smash is yet another reason to own Nintendo's machine, and anyone looking for a fun romp would be wise to pick it up, along with some Gamecube controllers for maximum enjoyment.
Nintendo's hyperactive brawler is an absolute riot, whether you are in it for fun or for glory.
Amiibo aside, Super Smash Bros. is a triumph of good design, a generous approach to content, and making smart refinements to an already stellar franchise in order to keep fans interested. It is also much, much better than the 3DS version of the game, and caps off a stellar end to the year for the Wii U that included Bayonetta 2 and Hyrule Warriors. There's no better time to buy into the console.
Offering tons of iconic fighters, satisfying game modes and gorgeous visuals, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is the best installment yet in Nintendo's flagship fighting franchise.
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is the perfect game.
