Assassin's Creed III Remastered Reviews
Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered does a good job bringing an older game into the modern era, all things considered, but it can be hard to go back to.
Assassin’s Creed III on Switch is easily the weakest 'Remastered' version of the game that’s been released thus far.
If you never played the original version, you should certainly give it a go, but if you were never a fan, the limited improvements to movement and the variety of glitches puts a downer on proceedings.
Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered, without correcting the major structural problems of the original, is still a recommended title as a complete edition of a way of making games that Ubisoft no longer implements.

Assassin's Creed III Remastered certainly does not turn an average game into a masterpice, but as a makeover operation we are more than satisfied

Even a high-quality remaster such as this can't hide the fact that Assassin's Creed III is too much a product of its time and has little to offer modern gaming.
A pack big enough to guarantee tons of gameplay hours. The graphical improvements are evident, but they don't mask some defects in the mechanics of the original game.

In short, nothing collected here is as good as the best this series has to offer. But, Assassin's Creed III Remastered is a welcome glimpse into an era that would define much in the years to come.
Assassin's Creed III must have been a fantastic game in 2012, and it's still a wonderful experience today. Connor's story is interesting and well told and Connor himself is a hero I can fully buy into as realistic and believable. It comes together in a package with villains who are relatable and not always evil for the sake of evil and the game devotes a ton of time to the character development necessary to have a quality and compelling storyline.
Lackluster enhancements do little to improve an already polarizing adventure
Overall, Assassin's Creed III Remastered is a bunch of fun and worth picking up thanks to the variety of content, but it is not without its issues.
With Assassin's Creed III Remastered, Ubisoft improved the graphics of the games but did very little to improve everything else.

With this fresh coat of paint, Assassin’s Creed III has never been more fun—providing you enjoyed it in the first place.
Assassin's Creed III Remastered is a simple port of the old game. Graphic improvements are very modest at best. Given the lack of significant unique additions to the formula, this adaptation can be recommended only to the most loyal fans.

The Assassin's Creed 3 Remaster improved the graphics and very little else. There is a reason this game is one of the least popular in the series history and without anything done to address its previous faults, its age makes it even more unpalatable.
Assassin's Creed III Remastered brings far more to the table, seeing otherwise frustrating mechanics heavily tweaked and polished to make them less of an annoyance in the shadow cast by the likes of Origins and Odyssey.
Assassin's Creed III Remastered is a mixed bag. It's repetitive combat and lackluster visuals, strung through with a few bright spots of naval combat and exploration, and unique displays of combat. Narratively, the game is as weak as they come. There's no mystery. Just an obligatory plot to finish the fight between the Assassins and Templars. Not to mention the mumbo jumbo with the First Civilization. The game is frustrating and not worth another look.
AC 3 Remastered delivers exactly what the title promises. But the nice improvements cannot conceal the outdated game design.

Assassin's Creed III Remastered is an adaptation that has its ups and downs. If the overall gameplay mechanics are good and enjoyable and the combat feels right to the player, the game also has several elements that need improvement, such as its hit detection system and framerate. While the overall experience is positive, the game needs polishing to be up to the series' name.
