Jet Kave Adventure Reviews
Jet Kave Adventure will be on nobody's Game of the Year lists, but that really doesn't matter. What it does do is provide a reasonably solid 2.5D platformer that will keep you entertained for a few hours (and beyond, if you want to try to beat all the optional objectives).
There is something comforting about Jet Kave Adventure. It doesn't take any risks or fly off on any wild tangents, it is just a solid, well-made side scrolling platformer. Mastering each level will be a challenge, but younger players will still enjoy the story and zipping around on the jet pack. Jolly good fun!
Retro-inspired platforming without much bite.
Jet Kave Adventure offers a fun ride, but one that ends all too soon.
Jet Kave Adventure is a rock-solid (pun intended) platformer that doesn't outstay its welcome and offers addictive, retro-style gameplay. If you've ever enjoyed any of the Donkey Kong Country titles, Jet Kave Adventure is an earnest tribute that you're sure to enjoy.
Jet Kave Adventure does not revolutionize platform games but that doesn't mean it's not an enjoyable experience. With its well-designed levels, good execution and accessible nature that will be welcoming to all players, Jet Kave Adventure may not pulverize the competition but it certainly does a good job at delivering good gameplay mechanics and at getting the plaforming formula right.

Jet Kave Adventure looks good but feels uninspired and altogether too easy for the type of game it is. Considering the strong competition on the Switch, it's hard to recommend this one to any but the most die-hard platformer fans or the younger gamers out there looking to dip their toes in the genre.
While moment to moment gameplay can be fun, the overall process is just too repetitive for a genre that already has so many unique and innovative games in it.
Jet Kave Adventure is a fun action/platformer that anyone can enjoy. It's a little on the short side (for the price) and could use some extra features to keep the player interested, but it looks great and is easy to play.
Strap in for jetpacking platforming hijinks in Jet Kave Adventure. With nothing but his wits and his trusty club – well, and a super-powered jetpack – can you help Kave save his tribe from a mysterious alien and an impending volcanic eruption?
Jet Kave Adventure is a fast-paced, mechanics-heavy platformer with a great sense of style.
For $14.99, this is a worthy diversion for fans of Donkey Kong Country. Jet Kave Adventure may not have the memorable David Wise music; or any memorable music at all, but the fundamentals of what made the gameplay is present. On its own, Jet Kave Adventure is a perfect gateway game for kids who are interested in 2D action platformers.
Jet Kave Adventure on Xbox is something that you’ll begin to enjoy the more you progress. The extra gameplay features that are brought about via the use of the jetpack add a new dimension to the platforming genre and manage to give the game a sense of urgency and speed.
In the end, Jet Kave Adventures is fine. It looks nice and does the basics well enough that you won't get frustrated by mistimed jumps or falling off ledges. The gameplay fails to bring about any excitement in the back half, while the many mechanics designed to make this easier make it perfect for kids but not anyone who is considered fluent in the genre. It isn't a terrible game by any means, but you can tackle a few other, better platformers before trying this one.
Amusing prehistoric adventure from Nintendo Switch is now available on the Xbox One and PC, so more players have fun with jetpack in stone age.

Each of the game's four levels is divided into nine stages, and by the time I reached stage nine, I was more than ready to move on to something else. Shorter levels with more variety would've alleviated this problem. There's a good game here, but it's best experienced in short bursts. If you keep hoping that Retro Studios would make a third Donkey Kong Country Returns game, you are probably the target audience for Jet Kave Adventure.
The level art is gorgeous and does a great job to enliven the sci-fi-imbued prehistoric world that the developer has created, but the platforming itself is far too uniform and simplistic to retain the player's interest.
Jet Kave Adventure is full of rewarding scenarios but it could have definitely used more time in the oven before it released.
When it comes to reasonably-prices platformers typically retro pixel art games are what comes to mind, but in the case of Jet Kave Adventures you get a little more visual bang for your buck...
Overall, Jet Kave Adventure isn’t going to surprise you, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t good for a few hours of fun. If you like 2D platformers, or just want to look at some really impressive prehistoric environments for a nice lockdown-friendly change, you could certainly do worse than this.
