Lab Zero's crowdfunded Valkyrie Profile-inspired RPG has finally released and the result is a brilliant game filled with personality and heart.
A fantastically charming mix of genres that, put together, produce a Metroidvania RPG that is utterly engaging. Even when Indivisible manages to misstep, the gorgeous aesthetic and oddball characters bring this adventure to life in a way that makes it an utter joy hold in your hands. If you can, take some time and grab Indivisible on Nintendo's handheld console.
Despite this, as mentioned right up front, I absolutely loved playing Indivisible. The combat being fairly easy just means the story has to carry the weight and the well-designed and animated cast is more than up to the job.

It's obvious from its opening moments that Indivisible has a lot of loved poured into it, boasting gorgeous visuals and interesting characters sure to win over your heart. It isn't a perfect example of either of the two genres it blends together, but it does plenty with each of them to make for an exciting adventure.

Indivisible has some fantastic art and one of the most fun combat systems I've gotten to play with in an RPG. It's a shame it's brought down by a boring story, terrible writing, confusing moments, and some absolutely atrocious platforming
Indivisible has lot of style and an engaging gameplay, with high paced combat system (sometimes too much) and interesting platforming. Difficulty curve is at some bosses too steep.

Indivisible is a fantastic RPG hybrid brought to life through beautiful hand animation, a captivating score and an insanely addictive combat system.
It's great to see a developer so early in its life step out and experiment with new genres, and 505 games has taken its signature art style to create a stunning, original world.
But it's the characters, music, art-style and worldbuilding that make it truly stand out from other RPG's. Whether it will become a classic like RPG's of old remains to be seen. But Lab Zero Games has shown that they are more than capable of bringing their unique talents to genres other than 2D-fighters and I cannot wait to see what is coming next.
It looks good (mostly), and has all the qualities that seem like it would make a great game. Not only does it fail to come together coherently, yet it also it lacks a sense of magic or "heart" that the art style would suggest it possesses. While nothing is largely technically wrong with Indivisible, it fails to be engaging as a RPG, its platforming fails to recommend it on this front, and the story never goes anywhere significant to offer this up either. This isn't bad, but it just isn't that good either.
Indivisible is a great game with lots of positives, but unfortunately some weak RPG elements and wasted potential prevent it from becoming a hit.

Indivisible is one of the best action role-playing games of the year. Of course it's not flawless and lack of challenges in combat or repetition are totally noticeable, but still, thanks to its impressive art design and deep gameplay and combat system, Indivisible is so enjoyable and entertaining

Indivisible isn't great just because of its unique battle-system and platforming sequences, its art-style, soundtracks, and lovable characters add charm to the overall experience.

It's hard to truly dislike a game that tries to meld pre-existing ideas into something new, and this is true with Indivisible. However, it's also hard to truly enjoy a game that doesn't fully succeed in any of its key areas, and unfortunately this also applies to Indivisible.
Indivisible is a game that does not bring much variety, mainly due to the absence of the famous customization, an almost mandatory feature in games of this genre. However, the beauty, fun and longevity may make you want to give it a try.
