Final Fantasy VII Remake Reviews
FFVII Remake impressed me in every possible way. The level of detail to the world building and character development is some of the best I’ve ever seen in a video game. There are several trophies that you can only acquire after a few playthroughs with making different choices, so there is a huge replayability factor. Square Enix took a big chance by taking one of the most influential video games of all time and completely revamping it.
Though a couple of story beats seem stretched or concerning, Final Fantasy VII Remake is an overall fantastic game that does justice to the original with its grand gameplay, thoughtful additions to the story, and beautiful music and visuals.
23 years old classics is back with new graphics and adjusted gameplay. Still worth to play.

We have a great game in front of us that only some especially linear levels and some excessively long sections prevent it from being classified as a masterpiece. Still, a must for lovers of JRPGs in general, and Final Fantasy VII in particular.

Little things have been lost along the way, but what we have gained far outweighs the losses. What matters is still intact, and that’s the heart and soul of one of the greatest stories in video game history. It’s a return to form that has felt a long time in coming, and what’s even better is that there’s still at least two more games of this quality to come.
If you're new to the Final Fantasy VII series you'll have no trouble diving into this remake. On the flip side, if you're a fan of the original Playstation game you'll find a lot to love here and playing this version will definitely rekindle the flame! Final Fantasy VII Remake is certain to be on many "Game Of The Year" lists in 2020!
Final Fantasy VII Remake may not be what fans were expecting, but that's far from a bad thing. Square Enix has delivered a remarkable RPG that upgrades the iconic title with beautiful graphics, an expanded world, and first-rate combat.
This game is a must-play.

Final Fantasy VII Remake boasts an incredibly fun combat system under a fantastic soundtrack and beautiful visuals. Unfortunately, the writing does not do its narrative any favors, and the game released with a fair share of issues.

The final chapter of the remake may be disappointing for many fans of the original game. However, the rest of the remake is almost perfect renewal of the classic Final Fantasy VII, with greatly expanded Midgar, excellent battle system and lovely cast of characters.

There are remakes that just offer a new youth to a work and there is Final Fantasy VII. Square Enix has managed to reinvent its myth by offering it a more consistent story, more in-depth characters, a fun combat system, exceptional music and a visual slap. Final Fantasy VII Remake is far from perfect, that's right. But the few pitfalls that can be formulated ultimately weigh little in the balance in the face of the sum of the qualities that he proposes to us. You're not going to go back to Midgar, you're going to rediscover it.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is a loving recreation of the cherished 1997 original. Everything has been redesigned, down to minute details on each beloved character. The mechanics are streamlined and polished, allowing for an immersive experience that encourages exploration of the broad, complex world.
Final Fantasy VII Remake is a powerful experience, and signals the first chapter in what is beginning to reveal itself as a considerable epic.
Mediocre world design, poor pacing, and plotting that fails to fully capture what made the original so special, it's hard not to walk away feeling like this isn't a disappointment across the board.
It is a shame that so much time had to be wasted in Midgar, and that Final Fantasy VII Remake couldn’t be just a remake. There was room to improve upon for the original, but that is not what Tetsuya Nomura wanted to do. He was more interested in leaving his stain on what is Square Enix’s most important game ever they made.
We touched upon it in our preview last year but while Resident Evil 2 Remake was an exceptional piece of work, and at the time the standard by which all remakes would be judged, I now believe Square have taken hold of the baton and are the ones running with it. Whether this is your first trip to Midgar or a return one, the characters, world, battles, music, and graphics harmoniously unite to deliver a very respectful and incredibly epic swansong for this generation. Square have somehow made one of the greatest games ever made even better and I am now more excited than ever to see what they do with some of my favourite characters in this universe.

Final Fantasy VII Remake isn't just a retelling of the 1997 iconic adventure. It's an entirely new experience that has you diving deeper into the world of Final Fantasy VII with distinct encounters and challenging fights. With the developers taking elements from all the past Final Fantasy games and incorporating them into this exceptional adventure that has very little lows. While also giving a decent amount of nostalgia for those who played the original without relying on it. Final Fantasy VII Remake is one of Square Enix's best games and despite only being the first part delivers a complete game that goes above and beyond.
Final Fantasy VII Remake is a wondrous exploration of the original, with fantastic writing, performances, and production values. However, an overindulgence in cut scenes and an extremely linear path through the game causes some serious sag in the middle chapters. A fine experience, but perhaps best viewed as a prelude to things to come.
