Saints Row: The Third was a sacred moment in time where lunatics reimagined the animus of an open-world crime game. It enabled players to thunderously lead a prestigious gang of miscreants and also turn themselves into a toilet. Nine years later Saints Row: The Third Remastered's glut of Content is more difficult to digest, but its outrageous ambience is still so sweet.

Saints Row: The Third Remastered feels like that old friend who keeps cracking the same jokes over and over, and while some of them still feel funny, most of them don't.

Not every aspect of Saints Row: The Third Remastered holds up in 2020, but returning to Steelport is still a memorable adventure. Sperasoft has done a respectable job of updating the 2011 title for modern consoles by improving character models and polishing up the look of the city.

Saints Row The Third Remastered is a decent upgrade of an open-world classic, although doesn't soften all of its rough edges to properly take advantage of modern platforms.

Saints Row: The Third is a game with an identity crisis, both within the context of its story and outside of it.

Flawed but fun, Saints Row: The Third Remastered brings back its ridiculously addictive formula to keep long-time fans and new players entertained for many hours. Sadly, it's a bit rough around the edges, and in no way comparable to a number of modern-day titles from the same genre.

I may have wanted more out of Saints Row: The Third Remastered, but it's still as much a blast to play today as it was in 2011, and now it's prettier to boot. Grumbles aside, what more could I ask for?

The "Saints Row The Third" part of Saints Row The Third Remastered is good. The "Remastered" part...not as much.

Saints Row The Third Remastered offers the same as its original game but with a new virtual paintjob. This, however, does not mask the problems the original game had, which is definitely a shame and holds back the game in multiple ways. Where the game is not held back is in the department of fun and humor, as is known from the Saints Row franchise. The game truly comes to its right as a co-op game, but is still enjoyable as singleplayer.

Saints Row The Third Remastered offers exactly what the original offered almost 10 years ago. With a logical and necessary aesthetic facelift and all the content that was released by DLCs included, it is still a very fun and engaging game, and a great opportunity for those who could not enjoy it in their day, but perhaps who already own the one from 2011, have no reason to approach this new version, and it could have been used to make some small playable improvement.

Saints Row the Third Remastered is a great way to revisit a truly classic series that sadly missed out with a new entry this console generation and I hope this is something that might be addressed on the birth of the next generation coming this year. But the bugs take the shine of what is a fun game to play and I fully recommend grabbing a friend and playing this co-op as there is just so much fun to be had at a time when smiles and laughs in the world are few and far between at the moment. I loved returning to Steep Port and the Saints, it has a humour that appealed me all those years ago and this shows that there is still room for Saints Row in current gaming. This is unashamed crazy chaotic fun when everything works, but the frustration of the old issues still being present stick out like a sore thumb.

Saints Row: The Third - Remastered is about the minimum you can expect from a remaster. It looks better, contains all of the DLC, and it does what it needs to do. However, you can't escape the fact that Saints Row 4: Re-Elected, which is already available, hits almost all of the same marks while being a more enjoyable game with almost all of the same features and significantly better humor. If you enjoyed the original Saints Row: The Third, then this is a good way to revisit it, but for newcomers, there are better entries in the series to try.

Saints Row The Third Remastered is a good game and an enjoyable experience that still has its touch, but like many remastered game in this generation, it's not good enough in remastering quality. Finally, you can still enjoy Saints Row The Third Remastered thanks to really fun gameplay, even if it's not a high quality Remaster in technical aspects.

If you don't mind senseless violence and a rather dated feel despite being a remaster, it's hard to beat Saints Row: The Third Remastered when it comes to successive hours of over-the-top, mindless action fun.

Saints Row the Third is back with a, frankly, quite good remastered version of the original game from 2011.

At the end of the day, the value of Saints Row: The Third Remastered will wholly depend on either a heady reverence for the original game/series or a penchant for emphatically stupid antics bolstered by puerile humour. There's no denying that the visual overhaul is thoroughly impressive, but little else has been done to make the game feel like anything other than a throwback to the year that put both Pitbull and LMFAO in the Top 10.

If you love B-series movies, Saints Row is your game. This remastered edition is the best way to enjoy this crazy and funny game. So much players need to take a look on this game to discover a different way to create a sandbox game.

Often times experiences like Saints Row: The Third Remastered can be hard to gauge. Where the original was undeniably special, at least for some people, in some ways it shows its age.

Saints Row: The Third Remastered faces the market as the umpteenth well-built remake, in these last few months, upgrading in a sufficient way all the technical aspects of the original title. Irreverent, reckless, armed with good intentions, the game could be easily recommended, even just for a taste of insanity madness in full swing.
