Desperados III Reviews
Desperados III is a solid and enjoyable RTS. The fun of setting up combos in Showdown mode can't be underestimated, and the variety in level design keeps the game feeling fresh long after its basic mechanics become repetitive. If you're looking for a Wild West-style game that's more about subtlety than shootouts, Desperados III fits the bill.
Desperados III is another strong title from Mimimi Productions, and has managed to successfully revive one of the most beloved franchises. Every aspect of the game, from the character development to gameplay and graphics, has been painstakingly and meticulously designed, and the end result will without a doubt please longtime fans and newcomers alike. The developers have borrowed many of their mechanics from their previous title, Shadow Tactics, but it shows the strength of the framework they had created rather than being a testament of their negligence. All of these have turned Desperados III to one of the best Real-time Tactics games available, although its saving system could have been more reliable

Desperados 3 is a very good tactical strategy that reminds us of the good old days of PC gaming, but it lacks something new and fresh, and celearly indicates that this genre hasn't developed as much as other mainstream genres.

John Cooper is back with some old and new friends and another story from wild west. Still deadly, hard and charming.

We tell you, it’s a good game! It’s not average! It might have some problems here and there, but you have to admit it is a “Good” game.
If you're looking for a highly enjoyable experience that's undoubtedly something different, Desperados III will provide hours of gunslinging good times. Plus, those who enjoy perfecting their strategies as they take a trial and error approach will absolutely love it.
Mimimi has made something that plays well, is often funny, and sticks to the original classic in what matters. Yes, the somewhat rawer atmosphere of the original is not exactly captured here. The graphics don't dazzle with three times the detailed models and don't allow too much zooming. But that's not what Desperados III is about. First of all, it's a pretty successful game.

Desperados 3 brings a compelling Wild West story telling the origins of John Cooper and his gang. Each mission is brimming with life and atmosphere and offers a real challenge. With up to six characters, each with their own abilities, there are many different styles of play possible. The game is certainly challenging, but offers a lot of replayability and value for money.

A fantastic ode to cowboy films combined with challenging and satisfying gameplay.
Desperados III was an absolute joy to play. The hype is well warranted and if you are the least bit interested, grab it. Gamers that aren't too keen on a lot of stealth or sneaking around may not enjoy it as much.
At full price I would say make sure you know exactly what this game is before buying it. It’s excellent, but this genre isn’t going to be for everyone. On Game Pass though this one is a no-brainer to give a try. The install size isn’t huge, but the amount of high-quality content contained within is.
Desperados III is a generally great tactical game, it provides a brutal western environment to explore and gives you the freedom to tackle situations how you please.
Desperados 3 might not be a huge revolution in the real-time stealth action genre at first glance. And, in fact, it's not. What it is, however, is an incredibly robust game that will keep you on your toes, will make you feel smart and - especially - will entertain you from start to finish.

If you’ve delved deep into the Desperados franchise, or just have an affinity for RTT games in general, then Desperados III is a no-brainer for you. Brutally-difficult, its steep learning curve and skill ceiling will no doubt leave even the most hardened of players with some brutally-engaging gameplay throughout. Just remember to quick-save after every move you make.
Desperados III builds off Mimimi Games recent history, and breathes new life into a classic series.
Desperados III is a faithful return for the series, occasionally to a fault but often to great success. It’ll please fans of strategy games but won’t make a fan out of those that aren’t.
Desperados III offers an excellent western setting and thoughtful tactical gameplay. If you won't get discouraged by the amount of early failures, you'll be rewarded with the sweet taste of victory. Even there isn't many tactical strategy games, Desperados III is one of the best.
