Rocket Arena can be quite enjoyable at the beginning, but its derivative gameplay and rather banal game modes cannot keep the player engaged for a long time at the current state of the game.

Rocket Arena is a fresh take on the hero shooter genre with great gameplay mechanics and character design, but there are some minor elements holding it back from perfection

Rocket Arena is a fantastic game with well-crafted shooting mechanics and a diverse mode lineup that manages to be both fun in short bursts and long play sessions.

For younger gamers (and their parents), Rocket Arena is a decent entry in the team-based shooter genre. It won't hold much lasting appeal to older players, but kids will likely have fun for a while.

A mish mash of concepts from other games, Rocket Arena does nothing to warrant the price tag, and doesn't deliver enough to make it an enticing free-to-play option. A good base, only time will tell if they can develop it further.

Rocket Arena is a very young battle arena shooter. It is off to a decent start, though the pain points of the game are blatantly obvious. Its intentions are to capture that Fortnite crowd with its personality but definitely falls short with its delivery in certain gameplay areas. There is hope for this game and I can see it succeeding with updates and expansions, but right now it's a tough sell when compared to its competition.

Rocket Arena is a blast with its unique take on explosive arena action, colourful cast and an ambitious game plan, albeit one that plays its payload cards a little too safely.

Rocket Arena is a fun and easy to learn shooting game. The fast pace of the game won't suit everyone but strengthens its identity. Despite lacking a depth of lore and strategy, the crossplay option can convince players to pay the price.

An accessible, lightweight competitive shooter. Though it's a little thin in its current state, this is a solid start for what will hopefully become a lively and dynamic game as its season pass gets underway.

Rocket Arena is a blast to play. As someone that often steers clear of competitive shooters Rocket Arena is an experience that I genuinely enjoyed and plan to return to for a while.

Rocket Arena is a hero shooter that tries to make a mark, but doesn't do nearly enough to help itself stand out.

Rocket Arena is a good game, a good shooter, but it suffers from what could be considered essential within the genre in which it is included. This does not mean that it is not a fun and totally enjoyable game.

Rocket Arena shows that there's more to multiplayer shooters than just military sims and battle royale games. Unfortunately, the unappealing progression rewards and lack of engaging content limit its potential.

Rocket Arena has a lot of potential, and the game is worth paying attention to at least because of the original mechanics. It is a high-quality and interesting project that is definitely worth trying for fans of online shooters.

Rocket Arena is a stripped-down online multiplayer 3v3 shooter. While there are only a few game modes at launch, they are fun – and EA says there are more on the way. A nice variety of characters keeps the action fresh, and the friendly atmosphere keeps the proceedings fairly cheerful. A great starter shooter for younger kids, but skilled players will also enjoy Rocket Arena quite a bit.

Rocket Arena might have some explosive potential as a casual 3v3 competitive shooter but the bright and colorful aesthetics and gameplay where no one dies and everyone's a winner have a major clash with the game's reliance on both twitch and precision aiming.

While aspects of Rocket Arena seem ripped straight out of other games, there’s no game that blends hero shooter and fighting mechanics like Rocket Arena does.
