All in all, Earthblood is a promising assortment of competent and mismanaged concepts. Yet even with several annoyances and late-game repetition, there's no silver bullet taken against my primal enjoyment.
Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Hearthblood is a game that manages only at a narrative level to make a worthy use of the prestigious brand of Werewolf: The Apocalypse. At the level of gameplay it performs a sufficient task without ever taking risks and with only sketchy RPG options while at a technical level, despite not having particular bugs, it never reaches an adequate yield for the platforms on which the title is launched. A game that we recommend at full price only to those who love in a visceral way the settings of the World of Darkness and the paper RPG Werewolf: The Apocalypse published by White Wolf, while lovers of action RPGs should think about it only after a drastic drop in price.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is a long name for a short, uninspired game. I was really hoping this would be a hidden gem that managed to rekindle my love of b-tier titles. Instead it just feels generic in every sense of the word. The combat is its only saving grace, and that cannot carry the game.
In a world where you can pick up The Last of Us Remastered for a song, there's no reason to waste your time on Earthblood. Paradox Interactive is no stranger to game development. I wonder which team lead is asleep at the wheel such that Earthblood was allowed to go out the door in its current state.
Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood fails to satisfy as a stealth game or a brawler, and is let down by poor AI and shoddy presentation. At its best, it’s playable, but commits the cardinal sin of just being boring.
Whether it's lack of effort, time or budget, Cyanide Studio does not enough to provide a satisfying combat system, nor an interesting story-telling, nor a decent technical presentation.

Playing as an angry werewolf is fun for a minute, but loses its way through heavy repetition
Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood proudly wears the reverence for White Wolf's lore on its furry sleeve, with a dark-but-interesting universe and a fierce pro-environment/anti-capitalist message. But behind its wild, bloody carnage and well-meant intentions lies a dated and sorely repetitive stealth adventure that, among its contemporaries, fails to stand out from the pack.
Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood feels like it had the potential to be really good, but even though the combat is very satisfying, the drab interludes and disappointing stealth meant I spent a lot of the time asking when the game was going to be over. To me, that speaks volumes.

You can see Cyanide Studios had good ideas for Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood, so it is a shame to see that potential wasted. Tearing through enemies is undeniably satisfying and Earthblood's stealth mechanics feel rewarding but with poor visuals, a short campaign, and disappointing story, you can't ignore these pressing flaws. Cyanide has faithfully integrated Werewolf's lore here – even if that is a little bare – so tabletop series fans will likely enjoy it, but anyone else would best approach with caution.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood has a good premise, but suffers from poor execution. If you're looking for a game that allows you to live out the fantasy of being an overpowered werewolf and kill everyone around you in bloody fashion, Werewolf provides that, but only just. Unrewarding combat, dumber-than-a-doorknob AI, dated mechanics, and an uninspiring presentation mean that this is a tough recommendation at the launch MSRP of $49.99 US.

Cyanide are one of the biggest players in the AA video game space. Releasing some relatively popular franchises like Blood Bowl and Styx, they have been around for quite some time now. Playing as a werewolf in video games is quite uncommon, but does the studio have enough to create an interesting gameplay loop?
The game combines hack-and-slash combat with stealth, but fails to satisfy in both aspects. Flawed AI a unimpressive graphics make it a mediocre introduction to the world of Werewolf: Apocalypse.
