Mass Effect is certainly showing its age, but the version found in the Legendary Edition is this game at its best. This is now the ultimate way to play a game that defined a generation and still holds up to this day.

If you haven’t played Mass Effect already and are looking for the best way to do so, the Legendary Edition will be the way to go. It has all of the games in one convenient package, along with all of the DLC. With the improvements to load times, it is absolutely the definitive way to play Mass Effect on console. Going back to it after all these years proved that it still holds up as an amazing story-driven game that is absolutely worth your time, even if Shepard still doesn’t know how to close their hands.

The Legendary Edition is the most efficient way to consume the Mass Effect trilogy. Everything is presented in a nice little package, and with a little bow on top that is the original DLC. The series really benefits from being able to play the games right after each other in their natural order. Importing your saved character into the sequel gives you the full experience and allows your character's actions to, seemingly, have more weight since you see the outcomes immediately. The bond that Commander Shepard cultivates with their allies is magical. I wish I could erase my memory of this series just to be able to play this collection as it was intended. Any newcomer to the series who is on the fence should absolutely jump on it, and returning fans will certainly be happy that it was treated with tender loving care.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition is still essentially what a remaster ought to be. It remains faithful to the original, emphasizing everything fans loved or loved to poke fun at while making necessary improvements that make gameplay far more enjoyable on contemporary systems. The inclusion of all three games, the new import system in the unified launcher, and the unified character creation options allows the series to feel like a single, cohesive story experience. Though not without bugs, and though Mass Effect 1 still suffers from its age, Mass Effect Legendary Edition is a great way for veterans to revisit the series and new fans to dive in for the first time - and it seems almost a certainty that Mass Effect Legendary Edition will renew interest in the franchise as work begins on Mass Effect 4.

Collect three of history's most acclaimed space adventures and spruce up gameplay and graphics – can it end in anything but success? Yes and no. Because while The Mass Effect Legendary Edition includes over 100 hours of top-notch story and action, some parts are noticeably outdated – with some new bugs. On the other hand, there's nothing to stop Mass Effect Legendary Edition from being the best way to experience an acclaimed trilogy.

Mass Effect trilogy feels as great as ever, but the tech side of things in Legendary Edition leaves plenty to be desired. Some of the changes are great, while others not so much. Hopefully a lot of troubles can be ironed out with more patches. But all in all, my return to the Mass Effect universe was a blast.

Parts of Mass Effect: Legendary Edition show their age, but this remaster is largely an improvement over BioWare's original trilogy.

The Mass Effect trilogy's classic status is well deserved and while these remasters can't iron out every problem, this is still a hugely entertaining and forward-thinking trio of action role-players.

Mass Effect 3: Legendary Edition brings the finale of this epic sci-fi RPG trilogy up to 4K code. The lack of multiplayer is a downer but there's a huge and consequential story here that wraps up numerous plots from the previous games

The Mass Effect: Legendary Edition's first chapter removes many – but not all – of the caveats from my strong recommendation to revisit BioWare's epic sci-fi RPG from the beginning (or to play it for the first time).

Net of some technical roughness, especially visible on old gen, and of the indisputable limitations of the engine used, which are also reflected in the actual extent of the interventions made on Mass Effect 2 and 3, the Legendary Edition represents an excellent opportunity to visit once again the wonderful universe modeled by the Edmonton team.

Net of some flaws to solve, the BioWare remaster can certainly be said to be a success and the Legendary Edition is the best way to get back on the Normandy and enjoy one of the most beautiful sci-ing sagas in the video game world.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition is a great experience for every player who hasn't played the classical trilogy before if they can bear with some issues that shows the age of this games, and for returning players there are some beauty and life enhancements that might convince them to live Shepard story once again especially for the easy mechanic that allows you to move your safe file and character along all three games with no sweat

Despite the first game’s shortcomings, Mass Effect Legendary Edition is a worthwhile package for both series veterans and newcomers alike. Sci-fi fans who’ve yet to experience commander Shepard’s journey are in for a treat.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is one of the best remasters so far. Despite some understandable technical limitations due to the games age, their quality and the large amount of content translates into an offer not to be missed for those who previously missed the saga, while the excellent technical work makes it very attractive for die-hard fans too.

Should you play Mass Effect Legendary Edition? Of course you should. This is BioWare firing — for the most part — on all cylinders and hopefully is the dawn of a new resurgence of the franchise (fingers crossed for EA Play 2021!). Get in, get immersed, explore the galaxy and defend it from a once in a 50,000 year occurence. Then head on over to Andromeda to appreciate that before the next adventures in the Sol system take place.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition offers you the opportunity to (re)dive into one of the most striking and solid sci-fi RPG sagas in the videogame landscape. Bioware has really worked on its copy to make it as accessible and enjoyable as possible, and it's successful. Mass effect 2 and 3 take advantage of the graphic smoothing and make the beautiful, but it is especially Mass Effect 1 that received the bulk of the bunch.

Not every wrinkle can be hidden by a skillful make-up, but the in-game feeling is very good, and impersonating Commander Shepard gives the same vibrant feelings of the past. Saving the galaxy from the Reapers has never looked so cool.
