Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 Reviews
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is a competent sniper sim that lacks the edge required to be a real sharpshooter.
Blending classic stealth mechanics with puzzle-y sniping, Contracts 2 gets the job done.
I certainly enjoyed the game a lot despite this though, and I think CI Games has established a winning formula for the future. It’d be even better if it had any idea what it was trying to say.
With some nicely-detailed visuals and decent voice-acting, Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts 2 is a polished offering from CI Games.
Continuist sequel that fans of the first game will appreciate. A unique experience at its highest difficulty levels when we have the sniper rifle in our hands, and another more traditional and less inspired in the rest.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is a particularly good sniping game. The set up is a hammy take on how superpower interventions only occur when there is a financial motivation, and comes off as a little bit awkward, but the game's regions are unique and fun to explore, enemies are tough to handle, and the challenges are fun to master. Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 should be a go to for sniper game fans.
Carefully engineered sniper action that's let down by frequent departures into close combat, exposing weak gunplay and a lack of polish.
Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is a tactical shooter that hits the mark and uses well-proven gameplay mechanics, but doesn't offer much more than the previous chapter.

Contracts was a great step ahead for the Sniper Ghost Warrior series, and this sequel is even better. Sniping is fun, and we like the open level design, but there are still some technical issues with AI, loading times and several bugs.

The episode of maturity for CI Games. Between the phases of pure action and infiltration, this Contracts 2 gives you a feeling of deep freedom in the open worlds traveled, and the stress of being spotted is even more present. Add to this beautiful scenery thanks to the CryEngine and an interesting contribution of the DualSense, you have here a perfect simulator of remote murder.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is a nice sniper simulator. Plus there is a plenty of additional content and free updates included in a PS5 version.

Sniper Ghost Warriors Contracts 2 makes its mark on PS5 with greatly improved visuals, better loading, additional content and DualSense feedback - all of which combine to make it not only the definitive version of CI Games latest effort, but also one of the better sniper offerings on the market.
Players of the first Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts game will find this second game an all-around improvement, especially in mission design and pacing. The story is a bland concoction of cultural and military stereotypes but it does a proper job of setting the stage for the action, which can be very satisfying, at least at sniping distance. The less open-world nature of the campaign keeps things moving and the large toybox of gadgets and weapons is there for players to use, or not. I wish Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 had a more engaging set of characters and better action combat outside the sniping mechanics, but the game is a well-made step in the right direction for the franchise.
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is a step up for CI Games and the franchise. Running much better than its predecessor and finding the right gameplay formula, the experience is a fun one that allows you to turn your brain off and just let loose, sniping some fools from a cliffside. Whilst not amazing, I am hopeful for the future of the franchise and where CI Games takes it.
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is one of the best games in the world for doing sniping right, that's something I firmly believe. However, CI Games almost seem afraid of letting the game shine, all too often moving you away from sniping, an action the game is named after. In addition, the game is showing a few issues, such as downright stupid AI and a few bugs here and there. It's a shame because there are good open areas to move around in, the contracts allow you to use your brain and plan the perfect hit and it all looks great while you're on your path to becoming the world's best blood-spatter creator.
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is a title that continues the path started by its predecessor, placing the thrill of a mercenary sniper's life in a simple, linear and somewhat bland story. A rather predictable but all in all enjoyable experience, with some limitations (and some oddities) in artificial intelligence and an average graphics/sound department.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is a rather simplistic game, aimed to the more casual audience. It can be a little frustrating, especially when there's too much enemies on screen, and when the pacing starts to drag on. But the shooting itself feels fine, and it's not like there is a lot of sniper-focused games on the market right now.

Sniping is a mechanic found in just about every FPS game, but it's the rarer entries into the genre, like Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, that focus the entire gameplay loop around it. That loop is done well and the core of the game is an excellent, puzzle-like experience of picking off a target with precision and skill from a kilometer away. The game mostly falters in that, with only five missions in play at launch, and very little offered around this core loop, it all feels a little short. There is a good game here, and here's hoping the planned DLC can really reveal the best bits and offer more of that satisfying core experience.
If I had to define Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 in a nutshell I would say that it is another step for a path that gradually looks very good. When I play the first installment the truth is that despite its failures I could enjoy the whole title, getting to have really memorable moments. I expected a little more from this new Contracts, and the truth is that it has been from start to finish.

The core of the experience remains pleasant and fun, provided, however, that it is taken more like a more of the same, if not almost an expansion of the first Contracts, and to accept its obvious limits and problems.
