The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles Reviews
Ace Attorney Chronicles is a journey back in time, a lovely example of what happens when you sink into the pages of classics like Oliver Twist and explore a place and a time you don't know, but with the humor and color typical of anime. The case that comes to mind is Samurai Champloo, set during the shogunate and with many examples of what was lived in Feudal Japan, but without seeking to be a kind of history in shape. The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is to be one day in a courthouse in Japan and then in London, with the intensity of the trials, the satisfaction of finding the contradictions in the testimonies, watching the scales of the jury tip in your favor, dancing for the deductions and the reward of shouting objection!

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is simply the best experience one can get from the series. It has a cohesive and exciting story with fun and well-written characters. The UI and game mechanics are the most accessible in the series, and the graphics are top-notch. It is a must-buy for fans, and even if you haven’t played any Ace Attorney games yet, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is an excellent game to start.

Are you ready for evidence-gathering and two very long cases? Amusing, but sometimes too slow.

A triumphant return of the series' creator, one that goes toe-to-toe with the first trilogy while offering a different, though contemporary, experience. A great ride throughout.

Overall, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is one of the better Ace Attorney games, period. If it had been released in its original form, I'd probably be more negative about it, but getting both parts of Dai Gyakuten Saiban in one nice package emphasizes its strong points and lessens its flaws. If you're a fan of the series, it's absolutely worth picking up, and I can imagine it jumping near the top of many people's favorite Ace Attorney title lists. It has its flaws and foibles, but it's some of the most fun I've had with the franchise to date.
You don't need to have played any other Phoenix Wright games to enjoy The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles. It is related to the broader franchise (Ryūnosuke is the ancestor to Phoenix), but it's a completely separate adventure. The historical context makes Ryūnosuke's adventure particularly compelling, but even if you're just looking to let that wash over you and be entertained, there's enough humour and style to The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles that the only real problem with it is that it outstays its welcome by just a little too much.
By far the most polished and interesting Ace Attorney title to date. It perfects the formula and offers a compelling narrative that bridges not just one but two games. The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is a masterpiece of "Courtroom drama" and one in which fans and non-fans will find a stunning experience. Heartily recommended to not only Switch owners but to anyone who owns a console on which the collection will release!
Despite a few struggles with the franchise's constant challenge of toeing the line between its story and gameplay, Great Ace Attorney feels like a series highlight. Ace Attorney as a whole feels like it's in limbo now since we're now four years past a brand new game being released in any territory, but hopefully this long-awaited localization is a sign of things to come. The Great Ace Attorney may not technically be a new game, but it's still just as good as I would expect a brand new Ace Attorney to be after half a decade's wait.
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is a good collection of two games in the series that visit the distant past of an ancestor of Phoenix Wright. That said, many parallels to the original games are created – which can be seen as a good or bad thing depending on your point of view. Regardless, the cases themselves remain intriguing and entertaining. The only problem is that they are 3DS remasters and, consequently, the graphics aren't so good.

I can see now why fans clamored for a proper English localization since its original 2015 release and I can safely say that I am fully joining the ranks of Ace Attorney fans. Ace Attorney’s logic-based puzzle solving, while simple, is satisfying and the game bursts at the seams with strong writing and great characters, all of which has been masterfully preserved thanks to a great localization. If you’re looking for a simple game to play that will suck you in for hours with its intrigue, look no further than The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles.
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is a collection of the best Ace Attorney games yet with a top-notch cast, loads of thrilling cases, and oodles of extras. On top of all that, multiple new gameplay elements reinvigorate the standard formula both in and out of court.
Offering two games in one, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles will not only satisfy fans, it also opens the opportunity for newcomers to join in on the fun.
I had a blast with The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles. Despite taking place in a new setting with a new cast of characters, it feels right at home with the rest of the titles in the Ace Attorney franchise when it comes to overall enjoyment and writing. I really enjoyed the flow of the cases presented across these 2 games. Wherever you choose to play it, you’ll undoubtedly have a great time with Ryonosuke and the new gang.
The game also features some extra content to give you a greater feel for its superb cast, so I simply can’t recommend these games enough.
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles isn't going to win over anyone that hasn't enjoyed the series in the past. The gameplay won't be for everyone, and the problems that have been there since Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney are as present as ever. That said, Capcom has done a great job making this the most accessible game in the series and a perfect starting point for newcomers. The characters are wonderful, the story is compelling, and there's an incredible satisfaction when the truth is uncovered. For fans of the series, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is simply a must-own package.
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles tells a brand new story featuring new mechanics that bring life to each case in what is easily one of the best entries in the series.
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is a high point for the series and a wonderful visual novel in its own right.
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles presented a mixture of interesting cases that take place in the late 19th century in Japan and the United Kingdom Britain. The dialogues of the characters, cases, and even the game's costumes were beautiful, even with limited choices in the course of the investigation or even in the courtroom, but Overall it was, it was fun and had unique characters.
