The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles Reviews
It feels fantastic to finally play The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles; it was just as amazing as any fan would expect out of the series. The dev team has continuously created wildly clever and hilariously punny titles up to this point, and The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is no exception. Although I do feel that there is a bit more hand-holding in this series than previous games, it shouldn’t give any fans pause. In fact, if you are a fan, there’s literally no reason not to buy this game, and if you’re new to the series, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is mechanically well-suited to be your first foray into the franchise. When it comes down to it, playing The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is simply elementary — no objections here!
I’m in the courtroom, cross-examining a witness for a trial that’s been developing for the past few hours. I raise an objection, as I finally get to present the piece of evidence that’s been on my mind for a while. Its significance ultimately becoming crystal clear. It’s moments like this that are part of what makes The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles such a brilliant and rewarding experience.
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is a little breath of fresh air with some new features in terms of gameplay, but also with the addition of doubled cinematics. It is not, however, perfect with the absence of a French subtitle and with several lines of superfluous dialogue.

Sure, if I look closely I can find nits to pick over the course of The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles’ 50-hour adventure—Sholmes occasionally hogs the spotlight, the cases could do more to support divergent reasoning, I would have changed a few details of the ending—but I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the journey. If you’re a series veteran, Great Ace Attorney builds on everything you know and love with exciting new mechanics and the most ambitious story and characters yet. If you’re new to Ace Attorney, or even adventure games altogether, this is as good a place to start as any. Great Ace Attorney is outstanding in every facet of its design and production, and deftly avoids the problems that can make adventure games inaccessible. The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is an experience not to be missed, and if you plan to skip it, I can only say one thing: OBJECTION!
The characters and writing just sucked me in and when one case ends, the desire to jump straight into the next is palpable. It’s a hearty recommendation for existing fans of the Ace Attorney series and anyone else interested in jumping into a new series of adventure mysteries in general.
After half a decade of without Ace Attorney games, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles not only quenches the thirst for a quality adventure in the courtroom, but also gives us a fresh look at the serie's potential, by introducing a charismatic new cast, unprecedented mechanics and a cultural paradigm. Both longtime fans and newcomers to the series will love this great and complete package.

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles may be Shu Takumi and Capcom’s best Ace Attorney work yet.
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is an excellent collection for every fan of detective stories out there. However if you've played most of the previous games from the series, you might bet a bit tired by the large amount of text, new mechanics and slightly overly long court trials.

Overall I can say there definitely isn’t any OBJECTION to the Great Ace Attorney Chronicles. The characters are endearing, the cases are interesting and pretty well formed, the music is great, and the 2D backgrounds and 3D characters provide a wealth of visual satisfaction. While the text speed may be a little slow for some, there were no real inherent issues to the game that I could find. The Ace Attorney series may be rather niche, but it’s also one that’s easily enjoyable.
All in all, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is a delightful bundle of two great games. The plot succeeds in entertaining the player, while the gameplay challenges them resulting in an overall satisfying experience. Thanks to this being a prequel in the franchise, it’s a great point to jump into the series. Even for series veterans, there’s a lot to love here, and even a few familiar references.
Outrageousness reigns over logical deductions and mystery-solving, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles delivers a mixed bag despite its promise.
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is a great way for potential fans to hop on and check out the Ace Attorney series. For those who can appreciate the visual novel storytelling and its light-hearted wonder, you get two games for the price of one, and it really doesn’t get better than that.
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles offers an exciting evolution to the traditional formula, with this courtroom drama offering plenty of fun across its meaty story. Players can expect to spend over forty hours unravelling each case, but that time will fly by thanks to how well written the characters are, how enjoyable gathering evidence is, and how exciting the courtroom showdowns can be. The new features are just the cherry on top, with the Dance of Deduction and Summation Examination offering some of the game’s finest moments. Whilst I have no doubt that the game won’t be for everyone thanks to the sheer amount of reading involved, fans of the series are sure to love this new venture into the life of being an ‘Ace Attorney’.
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles exemplifies Capcom's remarkable efforts in delivering such a difficult localization. These are some of the best games in the series, and they're now available to everyone.
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is not only a compilation of two good games, but also a fun adventure in English courts. The stories are rich in details, with interesting and creative plots that make you rack your brain to understand them. Added to this, we have Herlock Sholmes giving a very cool dynamic to the investigations and actively participating in the missions. Even with the pacing problems, the possibility of passing the story automatically relieves, in a way, what would be a tiring game. For newcomers, it is an excellent option to get to know the franchise; for veterans, we have new features that make Ace Attorney even more engaging.
