Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Reviews
Still, for fans of the classic series, or newcomers looking for a quality introduction into the older games, Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster is a great way to experience the series. Then, of course, there are the hours and hours of content across all games in the collection to consider. It isn't perfect, but players can easily get lost in the same stories and endless combat that Square Enix first introduced with the original launch on NES.
The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster collection is the definitive way to enjoy some of the greatest RPGs of all time and experience an essential chapter of gaming history.
Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster is a collection of titles from older generations, revamped in some aspects but tragically the same as the originals in others. The aim is to give younger gamers the old glories in a convenient and immediate way without altering the original product too much.

There are specific points for someone to prefer the previous versions but overall the Final Fantasy I~VI in this version are superior in various aspects such as translation, music, and the visual upgrade (albeit a little modest). Overall, despite the simplicity in narrative and level design in the first titles of the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster and its scenery already showing their age, these Final Fantasy [games] still deserve [the chance] to be played for their historical and conceptual importance, and some of them (especially Final Fantasy VI) remain among the best games in the series. The collection is recommended for fans of the series who wish to rediscover its roots and it's also accessible for newcomers who wish to start the saga of the warriors of light chronologically.

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster is essential gaming for all fans of the series. This game is such a classic, and now looks, sounds and plays much more like a modern RPG. Going back to re-experience the timeless original game that spawned a global mega-franchise was just the dose of nostalgia I needed before Final Fantasy XVI hits this summer.
Whether you're an inveterate Final Fantasy fan, a curious newcomer to the world of Japanese RPGs or even interested in the history of video games, add Pixel Remaster to your collection or wish list; here are very important chapters of a fantasy that deserve to be experienced — and it's great that we can do this on new platforms, whether for the first or the thousandth time.

Final Fantasy was the game that literally saved Squaresoft. It transformed a no name company into one of the biggest Publishers in the industry. And the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster shows why, with it’s simple yet elegant plot and gameplay. Crystals, Warriors of Light, Airships, Bahamut, it all began here. Playing through the game was a bit like falling in love with the genre all over again.
If you're willing to endure RPG excursion to the roots of the series, you are ready to roll. Get ready for strong retro experience, partially simplified systems but also great accessiblity. The amount of content is staggering (over 100 hours) if you want to enjoy all the stories, content, music and combat.

We did not like the distribution method, and in hindsight the price of the package could be a bit high for certain audiences, yet it is difficult to keep the pout at Square Enix and this Pixel Remaster. The efforts made to make thirty-year-old games enjoyable is evident and the result is that the compilation not only retains an enormous historical value, but also an equally impressive playful value.

The first three Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters deftly walk the line between old and new, but might not convert anyone without the stomach for old JRPGs.
Overall, between the game’s story and gameplay, nothing sticks out as individually exceptional. Still, Final Fantasy comes together as an experience that is better than the sum of its parts. The Pixel Remaster does an excellent job of keeping the surprisingly well-aged gameplay that started the series intact while updating it with more modern pixel art and a beautiful soundtrack. Outside of a few confusing moments and poorly balanced bosses, Final Fantasy is a game I would readily recommend to modern RPG fans, and it’s a great introduction to the genre’s classics.
Final Fantasy is a saga that has been able to remain on the crest of the wave for 35 years thanks to the countless experiments, not all successful, from the point of view of gameplay.

I also recognize that these games are crazy old. I through III are a tough sell for a newcomer. V is a weird outlier with a solid mechanical base. Yet, even with reservations in tow, Final Fantasy IV and VI are highly recommended. In summation, this is a fantastic collection of RPGs. Every game looks, sounds, and plays better than ever before. Some of the edges are still rather rough, but that’s normal for games this old. On balance, the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters collection represents an essential slice of gaming history. You won’t want to miss a single one.
The "Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster" series on console is, as of its release, the definitive remaster experience for all six games.
While Square Enix didn’t nail every element of the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters, they got enough right that I can’t imagine revisiting any other version of any of these games. Some of the greatest RPGs of all time are once again available to players on modern platforms, and that’s a cause for celebration. Whether you’re yearning to reexperience epic journeys from your youth or are just curious about what all the hype is about when it comes to Final Fantasy, this is a collection well worth your time.
Overall, if you're a Final Fantasy fan who has never had the chance to play most or all of the titles in this collection then you should jump at Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster, as it provides the best way to play all six entries to this day. My own gripes about the font aside, there has been remarkable care taken in restoring these six titles, giving them a proper chance to shine on modern consoles. However, for those who aren't quite die-hards it might be a better choice to select certain games individually as opposed to the whole collection, as some titles have stood the test of time far greater than others.
Final Fantasy I-VI Pixel Remaster breathes new life into classic games with meticulous retouches, improved artwork, soundtracks, and quality-of-life changes. The series stands as the definitive way to experience these timeless stories, characters, and gameplay mechanics. A must-buy for Final Fantasy fans and newcomers alike.
The first three Final Fantasy with a new and excellent pixel section and a wonderful soundtrack magnificently reinterpreted.

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster respectfully builds upon the classic game's foundation while making tweaks that drastically improve its pacing.
But if you loved these games before, these remasters are perfect for what they’re trying to do. They’re charming. They feel like a sudden rush of nostalgia not because they’re exactly the games you remember, but the rare form of remaster that does add some stuff on top while still preserving all of the spirit and intent perfectly. And if you’ve never played these games but want to understand why people loved them so much, these are the perfect way to try them out.
