Kirby and the Forgotten Land has managed to be one of the most enjoyable action, platform games I've played recently. I can even say that it has become one of the best Kirby games with its theme and gameplay dynamics.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is another great platforming epic from Nintendo that will constantly challenge the player. There’s a good balance between combat and platforming that keeps the game fresh and compelling throughout. There are tons of secrets and replay value that will keep players coming back for a long time.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a truly magical game that amounts to what could be the best franchise entry in decades. Even if its level themes and puzzle elements call back to concepts longtime fans will have seen before, the execution is charming and polished to an absolute shine. The oddities of Mouthful Mode alone are well worth the price of admission. If you can overlook linear levels and occasionally forced backtracking, this might be one of the best games of 2022 so far.

Given the open world craze sweeping the industry, I expected something along those lines with Forgotten Land. Instead, I got a charming new adventure taking measured steps outside the franchise’s usual boundaries. This game proves you don’t have to reinvent the wheel, so long as you’re adding some sweet rims. While the new mechanics are cool, I also appreciate the way old systems have been refreshed. And while the challenge level felt toothless at first, things managed to heat up in the end. In fact, the game is as tough as you need it to be, from start to finish. If you’ve been looking for something fresh from Kirby, you’re in luck. Kirby and the Forgotten Land has some delightful surprises in store.

Try it if you're looking for a break from the punishing difficulty you might be finding in other games these days.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a dream to all Kirby fans. Easily, the best game of the series and a perfect way to celebrate the 30th anniversary. Going for a full 3D game, was the right choice.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a very good game, hampered by a disappointingly easy gameplay and a short longevity for those not interested in its secrets. Not looking for them would be a pity, though, because the search greatly enhances an only apparently linear level design thanks to the explosive creativity that Hal Laboratory masters like few developers can.

If you like 3D platformers from Nintendo, give Forgotten Land a chance. It will keep you entertained for a few nights, even if not everything works as it should. The basic concept and mechanics are there, but the sequel needs to expand and improve them.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is the franchise's best platformer yet. With memorable levels, tons of content and gorgeous visuals it's a great package and one that'll satisfy all skill levels.

Unless you’re aiming to find every Waddle Dee and complete every secret objective, Kirby and the Forgotten Land won’t challenge you, but it sure as hell will keep you smiling. Most of all, it proves that Kirby works remarkably well in 3D and cements itself as the next big thing for the pink puffball. I don’t want to see him limited to just moving left and right ever again.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is one of the best games in Kirby's history. The renewal is limited, but everything works well and there is a desire to feel important and to live a "real" adventure that they have rarely found in the story of the pink hero.

Pink Vacuum Cleaner in the Forgotten Land? Good fun, a lot of interesting powers and Kirby as a slot machine throwing cans ... Fans of the series and the genre can count on a lot of fun.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is the best of the celebrations for the iconic Nintendo mascot's 30th anniversary, as well as a great starting point for a series that has been searching for a new identity for too many years. Hal Laboratory Inc. and Nintendo's new production isn't perfect in every aspect, but what was achieved with Kirby and the Forgotten Land is far more convincing and, with the right differentiations, this new iteration of Nintendo's iconic mascot could easily fill the hole left in each generation of Nintendo's consoles between one three-dimensional Mario chapter and the next. At the moment we can only assure you that Kirby has, at long last, found its optimum size and that Nintendo Switch has gained another exclusive of undoubted value.

HAL Laboratory studio has taken up the challenge of giving our favorite series a more modern look. I love that the devs dared with more wacky and over the top Kirby transformations than ever before and powers that are pushed to the maximum with their evolutions. The younger ones should find it a rather fun and accessible game, while the slightly older ones will have fun with the more advanced challenges. Kirby and the Forgotten Land isn't perfect, but it lays the groundwork to a futur of Kirby that I can get behind.

If you had asked me my favorite Kirby game a few weeks ago, it would have been a toss-up between Epic Yarn and Planet Robobot. However, I can honestly say Kirby and the Forgotten Land is the best the series has ever been. Developer HAL Laboratory has put so much care and effort into this game, offering a compelling entry with so much to see and do. It took me more than 10 hours to complete the game's main campaign, but I only found myself at about 62% completion at that point. Length isn't important if there's no incentive to stick with the game, but Forgotten Land is so charming that players will want to spend more time finding every hidden secret. With lush graphics, fun gameplay, and a ton to see and do, Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a must-play for fans of the series, or anyone that has ever wanted to try a Kirby game. This year marks Kirby's 30th anniversary, and the future for the series has never looked brighter.

While the game promotes itself as Kirby's first foray into 3D, at this point it really isn't anything to celebrate with it now been over 25 years since Mario wowed everyone stepping into the new dimension. The big difference here is that Kirby plays exactly the same as he did in 2D and that is probably my biggest issue with the Forgotten Land, with its barriers, directional arrows and no real diverging paths except for some secrets, the 3D feels like an imposter or at the very least outdated.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is fun, relaxing, and challenging all at once. Kirby's first major leap into 3D is an incredible success, with new mechanics and altered gameplay providing a familiar-yet-unique experience for any fan of the series. Forgotten Land provides incredible foundations for the future of 3D Kirby games, and one can only hope that HAL will continue to build upon them.

It doesn’t quite tread new ground, but its slick gameplay and sense of oddness makes it a fascinating and engaging platformer that really makes you wonder why it took so long for Kirby to journey through the 3D realm.
