Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge Reviews
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge looks like an old school game that moves with the times. It plays like a classic beat 'em up and offers enough variety to keep it interesting. The game has 6 player co-op and can entertain both young and old. For most, the game will bring a lot of nostalgia.

I figured the game would be fun enough, and maybe scratch a nostalgia itch. I was not expecting a genuinely fun and engaging experience. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge delivered so much more than I was expecting.
We’re living through a beat ’em up renaissance, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is the very best to come out of it yet. Dotemu and Tribute Games have delivered a stunning package that not only celebrates nearly 40 years of Turtles history, but the end result is also an addictive beat ’em up that easily stands among the best of the bunch in the genre.
Our young turtles are back with the soul of 90s. Shredder and Krang are still as fearsome as ever. But this will not stop our heroes in a half shell

A game that continues the core of the retro belt scroll genre. It emphasizes exciting action rather than equipment farming or growth process, and succeed to sustain each advantages both in single and multi-play. Especially, multiplayer delivers the joy of belt scroll thanks to its matching system and roll-back net code. The world with good use of TMNT universe is also attractive.

The return of the brawler genre to me doesn’t feel like anything new since the resurgence with titles like Castle Crashers back in 2008. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredders Revenge manages to make itself stand out from the crowd, not just on nostalgia but by taking a look back at previous entities in the series and improving on the formula in practically every way. Sure, being a fan of the series will likely play a part in your incentive to purchase. Even as a brawler game the developer has really gone above and beyond with this title. If brawlers are not your thing or you have a deep-seated phobia of turtles this game probably won’t be for you. But if you need something to raise the spirits alone, with friends locally or online, you really can’t go wrong with Shredders Revenge. If you are anything like me you’ll be humming that famous theme song for weeks after playing this.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is one of the most charming, stylish, and fun games I’ve played in years. So, what are you waiting for, go buy it, dude!
Wrap it up folks, we have a winner, As far as I'm concerned, the arcade beat 'em up game of 2022 is here. Highly recommended!
TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge feels like a time capsule. You can tell going into it that the people at Tribute Games deeply respected the source material. They did their research, both in terms of watching the show and playing past titles.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder's Revenge is a game that will delight those who enjoy beat'em ups and if you're also a fan of the series, it will be your favorite title. It incorporates many nods to the series, it is replayable if you want to get everything and it can be played with up to 6 players. If you liked Street of Rage 4, this one will too. The game may be short for you, since the story mode will not last more than two and a half hours, but if we intend to replay it, it better be short and fun, not eternal, right?

Honestly, I couldn’t be happier with how Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge turned out. Tribute Games hit it out of the park with this one, a game that is reverent to its source material in a way that will surely please die-hard fans of TMNT and is sure to garner an entirely new audience not just to that property, but to the beat ‘em up genre as a whole. It’s games like this, developed these days by those who enjoyed them in the past and know what they are doing that will keep brawlers alive in the future, and I simply cannot wait to see what’s in store. So if you have yet to give this a go, what are you waiting for? Calling dibs on Donatello!
TMNT: Shredder's Revenge is a love letter to both TMNT and beat 'em up fans alike, with beautiful pixel art visuals and satisfying combat, but its repetitive nature and bugs tarnish the experience a bit.

If you’re a hardcore Ninja Turtle fan or someone looking for a fun as hell beat ’em up to play with friends on a pizza-filled Saturday night, you’re going to have a lot of fun no matter what crowd you find yourself in. It succeeds in bridging the past and present, and knows how to hit the mark for any fan. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is a worthy follow-up to an arcade/console classic, and a game worthy of counting itself as one of the genre’s best examples of how to do a beat ’em up right. This is Turtle Power at its absolute best.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge offers quality brawling with some retro touches. Its biggest highlight is the agile and accessible gameplay that allows you to create impressive combos, and the variety of moves and enemies brings diversity to combat. In addition, multiplayer for up to six players is frenetic and chaotic, making it a great option to enjoy with friends. The new Turtles adventure is heavily inspired by the past and even modernizes some concepts. However, the title is too conservative – which is a shame, as other current beat 'em ups have already proven that it is possible to innovate. In any case, the nostalgic ambiance with elaborate pixel art visuals and the uncomplicated action are enough reasons to check out the game.

You know, from the very moment I saw Teenage Mutants Ninja Turtle: Shredder’s Revenge I knew instantly that the game was going to be a hit. It does exactly what I was hoping it would do, delivering on what only its 90’s counterparts have been able to deliver. This will be one for the ages, a timeless classic that I’ll be going back to for many years to come.
TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge is both a celebration of the long-running franchise as well as a bold attempt to revive the video game series. As a fan of both the IP and retro gaming, Shredder’s Revenge offered me everything I wanted in a TMNT game. While I believe that more could have been introduced to the classic formula, the game at its present state is more than enough to satisfy fans and new players alike. The attention to detail in the levels, satisfying combat loop, the smooth controls, sexy pixel art and bombastic music make Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge an easy recommendation. Now, let’s kick some shell!
