Theatrhythm Final Bar Line Reviews
Theatrhythm is a lovingly made game that celebrates Final Fantasy, the fans of the series and Square Enix with music they've been making for 35 years. With its difficult to master but easy to learn gameplay, incredibly large music library and cute character designs, I highly recommend every Final Fantasy fan to give it a try.

A celebration of all that is Final Fantasy with enough additions to make you appreciate its content more than a mere soundtrack could provide.

Final Bar is an encore for Final Fantasy fans. Its control has successfully transitioned from touchscreen to traditional control and maintains a good level of difficulty. Although there is a long list of available songs, there are few modes and rewards for casual players. It is a full-fledged rhythm game that stands out from the rest due to its RPG elements.

If you consider yourself a Final Fantasy fan, there is every reason to invest in Theatrhythm Final Bar Line. Rammed to bursting with songs that have helped to make the series what it is, there are tracks for everybody in here, with plenty of accessibility options to tinker with to suit all levels of player, including a fun RPG-lite mechanic that can be explored for extra incentive to replay favourite tunes. The DLC is vast and off-putting, but there is so much in the base game to tackle that it can be safely ignored.
It’s generally better to have more options than fewer, particularly if there’s no fixed “best” way to enjoy the game. And Theatrhythm: Final Bar Line sets an exceptionally high standard in that regard. If, indeed, this is the last entry in the series, Square Enix have certainly found a means of letting it go out with a bang.
Theatrhythm: Final Bar Line is exactly what it promises to be in the best possible way. It's a simple, addictive and incredibly delightful rhythm game set to some of the best songs in gaming. The RPG elements add some nice customization and Final Fantasy feel, but the real star of the show is the songs. With enough customization and options to make even the rhythmically inept feel comfortable, it's a game for anyone who has ever hummed "Locke's Theme or Answers" without realizing it. Just be prepared to lose hours upon hours trying to master it.
All of these levels feel exactly as you'd hope, meaning any skill level can have a good time. The music of Final Fantasy is legendary for a reason, and Theatrhythm is the perfect representation of that. If you're looking for a great rhythm game to eat up your time and occupy your mind, Final Bar Line is a fantastic choice.
Given that the only issue with Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is that the JRPG elements are superficial and unnecessary for the game (while not actually undermining the underlying rhythm game action), it’s hard not to see the effort as a monumentally successful project. With nearly 400 music tracks out of the box, excellent underlying rhythm game mechanics and, of course, the music being so good, this is a game that’s going to last even the most casual Final Fantasy fan for months. And then there’s the DLC with music from games outside of the Final Fantasy series to look forward to. That’s only going to add even more to the biggest value game on Switch.
Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is the best entry in the series so far. Based on its existing Arcade version and spaning over 40 games from the Final Fantasy franchise, the title is, without a doubt, the best way to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the franchise. A must for fans of rhythm games.

Theatrhythm Final Bar Line brings the series to home consoles with a huge and mighty chapter. Celebrating 35 years of Final Fantasy glorifies a layered, content-dense and perfectly balanced rhythm game. Despite some minor smears, the development team thus takes the big step toward a wider market with a title that is both an encyclopedic work for every fan as well as one of the best exponents of the genre in recent years. A title that is simply not to be missed.

Theatrythm Final Bar Line is a downright addictive rhythmic dopamine embrace for Final Fantasy fans and an excellent game in its own right.
It’s not often that I pick up a demo for a game. I don’t know why. The idea of just playing a teaser feels more frustrating than enjoyable to me. However, I was pulled so heavily towards Theatrhythm Final Bar Line that I just couldn’t help myself. I sunk a lot of hours into the demo – on my Switch – and leapt at the chance to review the game proper.
In a few words, is Theatrhythm Final Bar Line worth it? Yes, for every fan of the Final Fantasy series, without a doubt.

If a hardcore rhythm game where cardboard cutouts of Cloud, Lightning, Vivi, and Terra leap into the air to critical attack and dance at the end of songs sounds like your jam, you’ll most definitely enjoy tapping and sliding as you headbang through Theatrhythm Final Bar Line.
As a love letter to the series’ soundtracks it heartily succeeds, and every play session is bound to come away with players fondly humming at least one of the tracks they’ve played through for hours ahead.
Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is a very good rhythm game that can be played for a long time thanks to its huge catalogue of songs and the ability to replay in many different difficulties. The game combines Square Enix's wonderful soundtracks in a title that manages to be very accessible even to an audience new to the genre.

Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is a great addition to the Final Fantasy rhythm game series, featuring enhanced gameplay, a vast song collection, and an immersive experience that pays homage to the franchise's rich history and iconic soundtrack. Despite a few small issues, it's a love letter to fans with limitless replay value.
With a sprawling catalog of excellent soundtracks, and charming visuals that capture the feel of each game and a constant drip of in-game rewards, Final Bar Line succeeds as a rhythm game and a showcase of some of the best music that the industry has given us. If this is to be the last entry in the Theatrhythm series, as per the developer, then this truly is a bittersweet symphony. Some of the best music in Square’s catalog is up on display and even casual fans of rhythm games or Square’s titles will undoubtedly find something to like here.
Overall, Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is simply essential if you're a Final Fantasy fan, as it serves as the perfect celebration of the hundreds of tracks that we hold so close to our hearts. It hits that wonderful balance between challenge and relaxation that can be shifted further either way if you so wish.
