With over 300 tracks to play, plenty of unlockables and some excellent Easter eggs along the way, Final Fantasy fans will be in their element here. It’s not perfect, and a few hang-ups like the repetitive backgrounds hold this back from being a perfect rhythm game, but there’s no denying this is an absolute blast to play through.
Theatrhythm Final Bar Line brings us the best songs in the Final Fantasy saga and more titles to come. Its gameplay is tremendously addictive and we are faced with a very fun game that without realizing it will make the time fly by.

Theatrhythm Final Bar Line promulgates the very best overtures that are fanfare-tastic, representing Final Fantasy's engrossing musical escapades throughout decades in its illustrious history of gaming.
This is a game that only the most hardcore Final Fantasy fans, or maybe even fans of rhythm games in general, can truly enjoy to the fullest. For everyone else, you're basically just paying for the music, and nothing much else. Personally, I'd rather spend my time just listening to them on Spotify or any other music streaming service.
Honestly, Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is pretty much a perfect game. It’s packed with content, has lots of fun stuff to unlock, features different ways to play, and encourages players to take a chance on higher difficulties. While I do think that Ultimate and Supreme almost go out of their way to be overly punishing, that doesn’t change how much I still enjoy this game. Even if you’ve never played one Final Fantasy game, you owe it to yourself to see what all the fuss is about in Theatrhythm Final Bar Line.
Theatrhythm Final Bar Line hits all the right notes, with accessibility options that are music to my ears. The gameplay is addicting, the music is excellent and the replayability of it all is a great bonus.
Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is an awesome rhythm game. There’s plenty of content to unlock, tonnes of songs to listen and play along to, and the option combat system adds onto the core gameplay mechanics in such a way that doesn’t hinder it but enhances the experience. I love it.
The Theatrhythm series makes its return with Final Bar Line. It is as fun as it ever was, and it features the highest song count of any title in the series to date.

So everything is being given to fans here. As many songs, as many characters, as many different ways to play and enjoy and remember as possible. This may very well be the swan song for THEATRHYTHM, but it is an impossibly wonderful last act. My only hope is that we might, someday, see a PC port so that fans can continue to keep it alive and, perhaps, give justice to the songs that were forgotten (Gau and Shadow, I’m sorry). But, as it lies right now, there is nothing left to give but a standing ovation.
Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is full of joy and an enjoyable experience whether you dip into it for ten minutes or ten hours. It reminds us how many incredible moments the Final Fantasy franchise has given us over the years and it encapsulates them beautifully in one package. Mechanically sound with wonderful content, this may yet prove to be among my favourite games this year.
Theatrhytm Final Bar Line is a fun time with amazing music and thoughtful options. The accessibility in the game truly allows Final Bar Line to excel above its predecessors. Final Bar Line is a celebration of the grand Final Fantasy series, with hundreds of songs to relive the dozens of adventures throughout the series. If you're looking for a content-filled rhythm game, look no further than this fantastic title!
Theatrhythm Final Bar Line contains an artistic style that is still charming and charismatic in its own theatrical way. In addition, the game brings significant improvements, especially in gameplay, and a very vast content of music from Final Fantasy and even from several other Square Enix IPs, via DLC, celebrating like no other game until then the valuable legacy of soundtracks from JRPGs.

Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is a celebration of the storied history of Final Fantasy’s music in more ways than one. It could easily just be a basic rhythm game, but it innovated the genre by allowing for the RPG elements to best suit the game with its source material. Once you think the novelty has waned, Theatrhythm continues to surprise you by adding new addictive activities to keep you interested in its quests, extras, and even with other like-minded fans. Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is a gift from Square Enix and indieszero, allowing us to relive our original Final Fantasy through its music and also allowing us to experience new ones to broaden our scope. Many crossover Final Fantasy titles seem to waver at this opportunity when the novelty ends, but if there’s one thing that’s completely timeless, it’s how the music of Final Fantasy has evolved through the years.
A brilliant duet of simple-to-play, tough-to-master rhythm game, mixed with a snare-hit of nostalgia right to the face. Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is both a beautiful collection of incredible music and a fun battler that rewards your rhythm skills with satisfying progression.
Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is a terrific rhythm experience that, even after over 30 hours in, I can’t get enough of. Its almost overwhelming number of playable songs, waves of unlockables, addictive progression, and endless methods of replayability coalesce to provide a game that all Final Fantasy fans, new or not, will fall in love with. Heck, even if you’ve never played Final Fantasy, Final Bar Line is worth picking up. It’s that good.
I absolutely adore Theatrhythm Final Bar Line, with the brilliant rhythm-based gameplay and rich song selection making it a real treat for Final Fantasy fans. The accessibility of the gameplay makes it easy for just about anyone to play, whilst the complexities introduced in the higher difficulties ensure that it always remains entertaining no matter how many hours you’ve already put into the game. Add to that the rewarding party building elements, the host of unlockables, and the fact that you have over 380 songs to play through, and you’ll quickly find that there’s plenty to love about this celebration of all things Final Fantasy.
