Pikmin 4 Reviews
Pikmin 4 goes full steam ahead with an array of exciting new features. Unexpectedly good ones include delving into underground levels, embarking on Night Time Expeditions, riding on the back of Oatchi, and discovering new Pikmin units. This refreshing experience makes it easy to forget its 20-year-old roots, as it feels entirely new once again.

The finest execution of the Pikmin philosophy to date. With any luck, Nintendo will see this as an opportunity for a dedicated spinoff, and continue to build on the excellent foundations it has established here.
I had an excellent time with Pikmin 4 and I'm sure you will, too. It's not only a culmination of nearly everything in the series so far, it also introduces plenty of welcome new features that'll make you happy to be reacquainted with your Pikmin chums yet again.
Pikmin 4 encapsulates all the best of the Nintendo strategy series, a summa that represents its highest point ever. A masterpiece capable of vastly expanding all the mechanics dear to fans, putting an incredibly generous content offering on the plate. An over-the-top production (despite some minor flaws here and there), which makes even more special a year destined to remain impressed in gamers' memories for a long time. Let's just hope we don't have to wait another decade for the next chapter in this great saga. While waiting, hone the art of Dandori: you will need it!

Pikmin 4 is a solid evolution of the formula we've seen after the first release on GameCube, Oatchi and the night expeditions are the highlight of the game. That being said, the game feels like it could've been more robust in its mechanics and the Multiplayer/Co-Op aspect leaves a lot to be desired.

Pikmin 4 gets off to a slow start, but it quickly drags you into a world of vivid exploration. Learning how to use the Pikmin and getting through different scenarios is entertaining. The planet is a joy to explore and the puzzles are the right difficulty. Learning combat and taking risks is tricky to learn, but nothing you can’t pick up. Your journey with the Pikmin will be a tough rollercoaster, but every step is worth it.
While it fails to recapture a lot of what has made the series special and addictive over the years, Pikmin 4 is still a unique and fun experience despite its shortcomings.
Pikmin 4 is a delightful continuation of Nintendo’s adorable strategy franchise. An expansive set of maps to explore with well-thought-out puzzles above and below ground make for an incredible adventure with your little pluckable allies. Apart from a few monotonous dungeons and a lack of boss variety, Pikmin 4 substantially improves upon the standards set by previous entries and sets a new standard for the series.
The 10 year wait for a new Pikmin was excruciating. If it's true that not all this time was invested in Pikmin 4, it certainly feels like it was. The number of modes, areas, missions, Pikmin and enemies in this package is impressive, but not as impressive as its consistent excellence. If you've never played a Pikmin adventure, this beautiful, addictive and fun iteration is without a doubt the best way to get to know the series... especially because it's the easiest. Even with some wasted opportunities in terms of difficulty, cooperative mode and puzzles, Pikmin 4 stands out as one of the best games in the Nintendo Switch catalogue.

A return in style for a saga that deserves much more popularity. Pikmin 4 is fun and challenging, but also accessible, original and very well polished. An essential title with Nintendo's seal of quality.

In Pikmin 4, you as a stranded astronaut on planet Earth must search for the other crew members of your spaceship. Fortunately, you have a trusty biped and dozens of docile Pikmin to help you with that. It's a game that plays wonderfully and lets you explore a world at your leisure full of treasures, obstacles and enemies that you have to face. There are a number of new challenges that offer a different gameplay experience and are a welcome, enjoyable change from exploring. Do not expect a very challenging game, but a very successful game to take your mind off it.

If you had told me that this year one of possibly the best games I’ll play would be Pikmin 4, I’d have laughed at you, especially after having to marathon Pikmin 1+2. But here we are with a game that I adored every second of and can’t find any faults with. Pikmin 4 could have done with a more substantial co-op component and maybe a story that doesn’t involve Olimar getting himself into trouble again. But I’m grasping at straws to find anything wrong with the game at all. It’s a little bit of a niche title but sleeping on Pikmin 4 as a Nintendo Switch owner would be a massive mistake for newcomers or die-hard Pikminions!
All things considered, however, these are not major deal-breakers for Pikmin 4. The feeling that you should do as much as you possibly can is what this game excels at doing better than any other aspect. It’s a lot more fun to play through these places. It is another good addition to the Pikmin series, albeit with a few flaws that slightly bring the total score down. Despite this, it easily ranks as one of the most impressive games released for the Nintendo Switch in a long time, if not The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
It is expected that some series will show ups and downs. Others, however, follow a path of constant evolution, improving and improving with each new title. Pikmin 4 marks the apex of the franchise, bringing (almost) everything good that previous games have already presented, in addition to excellent new features and the implementation of all these elements in a pleasant and inviting way. If this fourth title isn't able to win you over, I don't know what will.

The new and returning creatures of Pikmin 4 are charming and delightful in every way possible. The new entry in the franchise is about as casual as a real-time strategy game can be with a handful of visual upgrades, calculated boss battles and a variety in Pikmins that will keep you treasure-hunting for hours on end. It is, without a doubt, a very solid addition to the Nintendo Switch catalogue.
