It may be a little uneven, but Adore nonetheless stands out from the pack as an innovative new entry in the monster-catching RPG subgenre. The fast-paced combat, detailed team customization, and high level of replayability all make this one easy to recommend, though we say this with the qualifier that performance could be better and the gameplay loop can get pretty grindy. All the same, we'd give this one a recommendation to anyone looking for an interesting new monster catcher - it's a welcome addition to the genre and we hope to see its ideas further explored in future games.

Adore brings action packed combat to the monster collecting genre, but unfortunately it's just too repetitive and frustrating to recommend.

I enjoyed Adore for the things that it did differently with its creature collecting and real-time combat, I could have done without the roguelike systems. But even with that going against it I still had a great time playing Adore, collecting creatures, theory crafting for that perfect team and the combat system still has its hooks in me, despite the overused roguelike system.

Adore is a smart and addictive videogame with important messages at its core. Even if it's nothing new, it's still an experience to be had. Must have absolutely.

In short, "ADORE" offers a satisfying gameplay experience in terms of duration, providing both a well-structured main story and additional opportunities to explore and improve our skills. Without a doubt a title that will leave a lasting mark on the gaming community, whether for better or for worse, becoming a clear example of the talent and creativity that can arise from Brazilian studios in the video game industry.

Adore tries to combine action roguelike mechanics with creature collecting, but a few novel ideas fail to save an overall repetitive grind.

Adore is a rather good game that has a refreshing spin on the creature collection genre. The action-based isometric combat presents a unique take regarding controlling a team of creatures, and mastering when to summon them and customising a team made for a compelling experience. The gorgeous and charming art and soundtrack are also a pleasant inclusion. While the very limited variety in quest objectives starts to become an issue long before the credits roll, you can definitely still have a fun time with Adore's new interpretation of isometric dungeon crawling and creature collecting.

Adore makes the mix between capturing creatures and exploring dungeons an exciting and charismatic adventure. The repetitiveness can get tiring and the level design is quite simple, but with well-built monsters and a nice team customization system, the game can surprise and entertain.

Although Adore presents a promising formula and solid first impression, its campaign becomes all too predictable earlier than you'd think.

In conclusion, Adore is a game that guarantees a fun experience regardless of your level. It’s easy and intuitive enough for you to learn its mechanics and then tricky enough to be a challenge without boring you. With the weather turning cold, I know I’ll spend many more hours in the world of Adore.

Adore puts an action twist on the monster-catching formula to try to make Pokemon for people who get bored playing Pokemon.

Adore has some good ideas, especially when it comes to its fun combat system, but also the slight sense of wasted potential for a game that spent so much time in early access. Still, if the promise of collecting creatures and building the best team possible for fast-paced real-time combat appeals to you, there's plenty to enjoy here. Here's hoping, then, that in an eventual (and more ambitious) sequel, being a worshiper will be less repetitive and even more exciting.

Adore is a cute little game that might scratch the monster collection itch, but at the same time there are so many games like Temtem that just do it so much better. If you’re looking for a budget game, Adore might be just what you’re looking for with plenty of replay-ability and the rogue-like concept. Outside of that though, this game is most likely a skip for most people who have the option of other games.

At the end of the day, though, that’s not the vision the developers had for Adore and that’s fine, as what they have produced is a damn fine spin on the monster taming genre all the same. Look past the repetition, and you’ll find that early simplicity was a complete red herring, as the complexities of team synergy, hidden passives, and the real-time combat suck you in. The core of what’s here is excellent, and while the narrow scope of the moment-to-moment gameplay loops may feel a little limiting, they allow the excellent core combat and surprising depth to shine through. If, like me, you were a little tired of the genre rehashing the same formula for what feels like forever, then Adore, while not without its flaws, will likely feel like a total breath of fresh air.

Adore offers good tools for players interested in monster catching and team management games. The good variety of monsters with unique skills and the essence system allow each player to develop the most varied combat strategies and adapt to different missions. However, the repetitive scenarios leave something to be desired and can bother those who like to spend time collecting items and exploring every corner of the map. Even though it's a little repetitive, this title has a lot of personality and is worth recommending.

Adore is a nice take on both creature-based combat and MOBA-style gameplay. It does properly execute the ideas well. But, some little nitpicks we had, such as the visual clutter and slow narrative, can be tricky to get through. Besides that, the idea and process of it becoming a proper title with nice addition is a nice thing to see.

While its action kind of drags, Adore also deserves plaudits for taking a well-known genre and formula and trying something completely new. It may not work enough to sustain it for a 10+-hour runtime, but there are enough interesting ideas here that it’s not hard to imagine it evolving into something fun.
