Tough, tactical, and totally uncompromising, Ready or Not delivers a standout experience for those after something smarter than your average shooter. Every encounter demands precision and patience, with real consequences for poor decisions. Ready or Not is a must-play for fans of methodical, high-stakes gunplay.
Ready or Not is one of 2025’s most surprising and rewarding shooters - especially for those craving the tactical edge long missing from console FPS. Tense, difficult, and deeply satisfying, it delivers high-stakes realism both solo and in multiplayer. It’s not for the faint of heart, but if you’re ready for the pressure, the intensity becomes part of the thrill.

Ready or Not might feel at odds with itself a little from time to time, but it's still a solid if unspectacular squad shooter.
I'm definitely going back to playing the PC version most of the time, but that doesn't stop Ready or Not from being the best tactical shooter available on consoles today.
Ready or Not forces you to use all five senses, and teaches you that pulling the trigger is a last resort. A tactical shooter that can get a little repetitive, but whose foundations give you very memorable moments.

Ready Or Not is an incredible co-op experiencing, blending tough-as-nails encounters with hilarious co-op shenanigans and dynamic objectives. It isn't nearly as much fun singleplayer, but it's definitely just as tense.
The Ready or Not PS5 port is excellent. The measured, tactical gameplay features action-packed moments and some of the most memorable co-op gameplay you can have.
While Ready or Not isn't without its minor bugs and occasional performance issues, it remains a solid game. It offers a distinctive gaming experience that is somewhat rare in today's gaming landscape.

An intriguing tactical shooter that embraces the precious SWAT legacy, offering a layered and challenging gameplay. It still lacks some polishing and we can't say that every idea got to achieve its full potential, but this is definitely an interesting and compelling gameplay experience for players that love to think before shooting.

Putting you in control of a SWAT team, Ready or Not tasks you with diffusing a variety of hostile situations. As you'd expect, it's a tense and atmospheric affair, where making effective use of commands is a must. And while I think it particularly shines in single-player, you can still have fun online if you can get a good team together.
Ready or Not is an excellent cooperative first-person shooter. The immersion is fantastic, with outstanding realism. There are many moments of tension and team communication. However, there are some issues, such as the single-player bots being quite difficult to control. Furthermore, the game was clearly designed for five players, so many levels become unnecessarily long and difficult with fewer players.
