Sand Land Reviews
May Akira Toriyama rest in peace. In case you are interested in his work besides Sand Land and Dragon Ball. Despite the manga being hopelessly outdated, Dr. Slump a special insight into his style of humor. Something that happened sometimes in the first few arcs of the original Dragon Ball. His self parody, Neko Majin, is also a lot of fun.

While the manga and anime allow for more direct ways of consuming the story, the video game offers a more broadened look at the world found within the story of SAND LAND. The video game is just as good of a way to consume the story as the other two, but if new and wild gameplay is what the player is after then this isn’t the best way to go about things.
Sand Land delivers a thrilling RPG experience that perfectly captures the exciting antics seen in the manga and anime series. Driving and customising the range of creative vehicles is always a treat, whilst the compelling vehicular combat mechanics ensure there’s plenty of depth and strategy found in-battle. It gets all of the core RPG mechanics right too, whilst the gorgeous visuals really help bring the world to life. It can feel a little bit dull on-foot and the stealth sections weren’t great, but they’re minor issues in what is otherwise an action-packed experience. I’ll admit, I didn’t know a whole lot about Sand Land before playing, but now? It has made a BIG fan out of me.
Sand Land captures all the style, action, and soul of Akira Toriyama and his manga of the same name. With exciting vehicle customization, combat, and timeless design, fans, and newbies will surely find something to appreciate about this titanic anime title.
A gift from Akira Toriyama, bringing back childhood memories. The original story depicting events after the original work is pretty enjoyable to watch. However, the overall monotonous core gameplay is somewhat disappointing.

Sand Land arrives in the world of video games with an adaptation that does justice to Akira Toriyama's work, at least in terms of heart and soul. It may not be to the taste of those who were expecting a very deep experience in terms of mechanics, but it will satisfy the fans of the original work and its excellent author.

If you’re looking for a charming new action RPG to explore, I would recommend Sand Land — even with some of the game’s hollow aspects, there is much fun here. The Akira Toriyama story is worth the price of admission alone, and you won’t want to miss an opportunity to play in his sandbox.
Sand Land manages to keep us glued to it from start to finish, with top graphics and consistently engaging gameplay, even if hardened gamers will frown at the excessively low difficulty. Anyway, if you are a fan of Toriyama's work, it is definitely worth considering.

Despite uneven storytelling and design flaws, Toriyama’s magical Sand Land is plenty amusing, a Shounen adventure not reliant on complexity.
This new Bandai Namco title has left us with mixed feelings. On the one hand we find very fun concepts such as the use of vehicles and their more than interesting customization, but on the other hand we see a development that is too classic and not very innovative in its open world. Despite these chiaroscuros, we can recommend this game if you are a fan of Toriyama's comics and want to be able to interact for about 30 hours (more if you want to explore the entire map) with its post-apocalyptic world and its quite charismatic characters. If, on the other hand, you are bored of open world games in which hundreds of points appear in which to repeat the same actions over and over again, perhaps you are not going to enjoy this game much.

Sand Land manages to do one of the most difficult things in this heated and boring cultural industry of our time: it is able to justify its own existence (alongside an anime that tells the same story, but not quite like that), which sometimes it may seem meaningless if we only look at the surface of the proposal. Despite some relatively silly technical mishaps that are more annoying due to the supposed ease of identifying them, Beelzebub's adventure has a craftsmanship that exudes a lot of grace and charisma.

The sweet heart of Toriyama beats here, but it alone can’t help to make Sand Land compelling for most.
The Sand Land is very similar to the rest of the games adapted from anime. Although the game may be a gift for fans of the manga or the visual content, the experience suffers from many problems in its design, especially the open game world and stages, and the modesty of these aspects. It may cause a feeling of boredom as you progress in the game.

Sand Land is a great vehicular action-RPG, one of the best anime and manga games available, and a parting gift from the late Akira Toriyama.
Sand Land is a fine game, thanks to a fun story and a loveable cast of characters. The gameplay is just a bit too simple at times, while some frustrating design choices can leave you frustrated at certain points.

If you love Toriyama-san’s art style and world-building and share his love for vehicle design, then Sand Land is the game for you. With its unique blend of exploration, vehicular combat, unparalleled customization, and engaging narrative, the Sand Land video game is a manga brought to life.
With top-notch presentation and a wonderful knack for exploration, Sand Land is a great action RPG that is worth playing.
Sand Land is a charming desert adventure that wonderfully captures the spirit of Akira Toriyama's work in its atmospheric game world, thrilling vehicle battles and exciting story. Even if there are a few game mechanics that are a bit sandy, this action RPG is a little insider tip.

Sand Land offers a nicely told story and, with its vehicles and many customization options, a special feature within the anime/manga adaptations. The visuals and Toriyama's charm are evident throughout the game and warm the heart. Unfortunately, the entire background music lags far behind, the battles outside the vehicles are not convincing and some dungeons drag on quite a bit.

Sand Land replicates both the unmistakable style and iconic character of Akira Toriyama’s work with color, authenticity, and passion. As an open-world adventure game, however, it is both conventional in gameplay and repetitive in design, resulting in a good-looking, great-sounding but overly simplistic adventure that nails the charm and aesthetic, but not the excitement and dynamism. A stylish but average escapede that never really gets out of first gear.
