Metaphor: ReFantazio Reviews
Metaphor: ReFantazio has memorable music, a safe take on a job class system, a charming cast that does not resort to being a dating simulator, and a snappy, fluid, and tactical turn-based combat system. Fantasy isn’t dead, it’s so back.
This is not only a new IP and bunch of new ideas mixed with great gameplay, excellent characters and its world. It is Atlus epic spanning 100-120 hours touching the current world problems and becoming unique in their reflection and content.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is a memorable adventure in a world that constantly fights for its ideals. Maybe this utopia will never be realized, but what better choice is there? Believing in change and fighting for a better world, or accepting stagnation and that nothing will ever change? In any case, it cannot be denied that one flower does not make a spring, and if we do not believe in our true selves, others will not believe either. The conclusion of 'Metaphor: ReFantazio' might seem repetitive to Persona fans, but it is necessary to remind them that hope and anxiety are only a step away from conquering consciousness, and the joy of life is nothing but these small moments of being together in the vast expanse of reality and imagination.

Atlus strikes gold again! With many thought provoking themes and ideas Metaphor just gives the player enough reason to believe that video games are an artform and could shape our future in many ways. Fast paced battles, a masterful score and an otherwordly art direction seals the deal for this epic JRPG adventure to be the most powerful contender for GOTY for sure.

Refantazio can be considered as one of the best JRPG games of recent years, which shows why Atlus is one of the best studios in this genre and the gaming industry in general.

A huge JRPG that takes Atlus to a new level. A wonderful story, exciting battles, and the same brilliant visual style - almost everything here is done perfectly.

With beautiful, vivid visuals and deep gameplay, Metaphor: Refantazio raises some fundamental philosophical questions and tries to answer them as best it can. It is a big leap forward for Atlus, which gathered all the positives and polished all the negatives from its previous games. If you are a fan of JRPGs or Anime, you should definitely try it.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is fantasy Persona. Familiar mechanics, familiar concepts and familiar design all come together to make something that doesn't escape from the shadow of its predecessor. Almost all of those things are executed extremely well and add creative twists and new ideas to the formula. Even the simple setting change does a lot to keep it feeling fresher. It's a genuinely fun experience, even if it isn't the most distinct one. It isn't Persona 6, but it's a darn good replacement. Every RPG fan should play Metaphor: ReFantazio.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is the team behind the best of the Persona series at the very top of their game. We were a little concerned we were in for a quick reskin of Joker's past glories, if we're being fully honest (we'd probably still have gobbled that up, let's face it), but what we've actually ended up with is a monumental JRPG. This is a coming together of everything that's been learned, honed and perfected over the years, presented through a phenomenal core narrative that's full of emotion and hope, amazing characters, some of the most warped enemy designs we've ever seen, and enough slick combat and style to do us until they make the next one. They better be making the next one already.
Metaphor ReFantazio refined the formula Atlus founded with the Persona games and created one of the best RPG games in history by doing so. It indeed won the race for king of the turn-based RPGs

Metaphor: ReFantazio is Atlus' new bet to bring us a high quality JRPG. Their experience with the Persona saga is poured into this fantasy world that captures you with its great story. Its political and philosophical load, excellent art direction and simple but deep gameplay mechanics make it one of the best exponents of the genre of the last decade.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is gorgeous, looking every bit as great as Persona 5, with the same ultra-slick presentational and a cracking good score. And, just like Persona 5 you’re also looking at a truly lengthy experience – anyone who finishes it with their play clock in two digits has played through it quickly.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is a deep, stylish, and rewarding adventure, but it’s not for the faint of heart.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is an excellent JRPG with exceptional storytelling, combat, and atmosphere, enhanced by one of the most exquisite graphical styles and soundtracks ever seen. Excellent in every little detail, it is further proof that, when it is at its best, Atlus is incomparable.

A new world built on familiar foundations. Metaphor: ReFantazio does not revolutionize the genre, but encourages more players to the systems and mechanics offered by the developers of Persona.

With all that being said, I can not stop recommending players who are both beginners and veterans of JRPG games to play Metaphor ReFantazio. When the head of the team decided to push through with this game, I was skeptical of it but seeing how well-made this game is, makes me want to play again non-stop and complete all the achievement awards found to share with my friends how good I am in completing it.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is a more mature take on RPGs that delivers something quite different while maintaining enjoyable and somewhat familiar gameplay. Plus, mastering archetypes, exploring dungeons, and fighting for the crown is handled with perfect pacing.
Despite the fantasy world not being particularly deep or interesting, it doesn't take away from the overall gameplay. Even though it's a retread of past Persona formulas, it's polished and makes for a satisfying gameplay loop.
Metaphor: ReFantazio delivers a deeply immersive experience with tactical combat and a richly imagined world. Fans of Persona will appreciate its familiar themes, but with a twist: deeper strategy and high-fantasy elements. With its impressive visuals and complex combat mechanics, Metaphor stands as a strong entry in Atlus’ RPG legacy. While the pacing may drag in spots, the overall experience is rewarding and offers significant replay value for genre fans.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is just utterly wonderful and thought provoking. It’s a hard review to write, without feeling like I’m over sharing the story. Its become one of those games where I’ve felt compelled to tell people, to “just play it”. It deals with some really dark aspects of humanity, it makes you question our real existence, and it labels fantasy at moments that feel like our reality.
