Caravan SandWitch Reviews
Caravan SandWitch has great visuals, an excellent story, and very engaging exploration, but the lack of enemies (and combat) makes the game somewhat monotonous. However, for the price on the eShop and considering the positive aspects mentioned earlier, it’s a good option to pass the time during your free hours.

Caravan SandWitch is a delightful morsel of exploration and storytelling. While the gameplay’s simplicity might put people off if they need a challenge to their games, I appreciate how much love and care went into this. While its performance on the Steam Deck is more power dependent than I expected, I had enormous fun with it, and it is probably something that can be improved with patches. I will not be surprised if it makes my Top 10 list in December.
Caravan SandWitch is a cozy, thoughtful game that stands out due to its emotional depth and engrossing world. The lack of combat might deter some, but those who enjoy narrative-heavy adventures will find plenty to love here. At the time of writing the performance issues on the Switch make it that bit harder to recommend on the system. But regardless of platform, Caravan SandWitch offers a touching, memorable journey that lingers with you long after you’ve finished playing.
Caravan Sandwitch’s story is deeply emotional, focusing not only on Sauge’s quest but also on the broader themes of family, hope, and the impact of sur-exploitation. A beautiful game providing a gentle and forgiving experience that prioritizes relaxation and enjoyment over challenge and competition. The game’s design ensures that players can savor the journey at their own pace, making it a gratifying addition to any gaming library.
The game provides a memorable experience with its stunning locations and engaging character interactions.
Caravan SandWitch’s charming world, engaging quests and beautiful cel-shaded visuals make it a delightful and unforgettable experience. It just might be the game you need right now.
The game contains few frustrations. The art style is delightfully French and the focus on exploring a world full of mysteries is a fresh approach. Caravan SandWitch quickly manages to put a smile on your face. It helps that there are no fights, you can't die and there is no time pressure. It is still strange to jump from enormous heights without suffering any consequences. The finish is high, the climbing and the gadgets including your camper work neatly and are well used in the world. It is therefore a shame that especially the camera, the glitches and the unnecessary crashing of your camper make the fun a little less. But I have every confidence that the makers will solve this. If you are looking for mystery, a holiday to the French countryside or simply want to try out a great new game from a new developer, then you are in the right place.

While the release schedule is packed with holiday season blockbusters, it's indie delights like Caravan Sand Witch that are the true pioneers of gaming, Sauge's adventures across Cigalo mirroring Plane Toast's exploration of the human spirit.
Fire up the van and take a dreamy, post-apocalyptic ramble around this gorgeous sci-fi take on Provence.
There isn’t much bad to say about Caravan SandWitch. The game does have a lot of backtracking as you unlock and upgrade your Caravan, but that’s the only slight annoyance. Caravan SandWitch is truly a thoughtful and beautifully crafted experience that combines environmental and social commentary with an engaging, character-driven narrative. It’s a game that encourages reflection, not just on the fate of Cigalo but on our own world as well.
A mysterious journey through a fascinating world, Caravan SandWitch is a relaxing adventure that is brimming with charm and is highly recommended!
Caravan SandWitch is an amazing addition to the landscape of cozy games. The story has a great narrative that will keep you interested for the long haul. If nonstop action is your thing, then this is not the game for you. However, the fun quests and the developed world available to explore have more than enough for gamers wanting their next story-led escape.
Caravan SandWitch is an interesting and emotional adventure in a mysterious and beautiful open world. Plane Toad has managed to create an adventure free of combat mechanics and any type of danger where we can explore at our own pace while the story develops. A good narrative and good character design at the level of depth and development complete this great mystery and science fiction adventure that we cannot help but recommend.

Caravan SandWitch is a wonderful, easy-going experience that will keep players wrapped up in its world thanks to the satisfying pacing and enjoyable exploration mechanics. Simply exploring Cigalo and uncovering each area was always a treat, whilst upgrading the van, completing side quests, and learning more about the narrative kept me invested until the very end. It looks very pretty too, with Cigalo offering a lot of gorgeous sights to see as you venture further afield. It might be a bit too easy for some and the lack of death or challenge won’t be for everyone, but personally? I loved my time with Caravan SandWitch and found it an utter delight to play.
Caravan SandWitch is a relaxing game about exploring, discovering old ruins and vibrant landscapes, and helping the planet’s communities A road trip across a long-forgotten yet strangely cheerful sci-fi planet, it’s hard to think of a better game to play to shut your brain off and relax after a long day.
If you’re looking for a relaxed adventure with a mysterious backdrop and an unwavering sense of discovery, Caravan SandWitch is your game.
Caravan SandWitch exceeds expectations by building upon the success of similar games with a laid-back vibe. This game has depth, an interesting narrative and a fleshed out supporting cast, which are elements that most cozy games fail to achieve through gameplay.
Caravan Sandwitch may offer a lot of gameplay systems we’ve seen before, but its cast and story feel part of the gameplay in ways that really make this game stand out. I would often just pick a direction and explore and take the van for a joy ride. While I would have loved a radio to swap to one of the game’s incredible songs, I would encounter small radios here and there and just take in the music and view. Caravan Sandwitch is special. Its joyful writing and charm are everywhere you look, with a crisp and gorgeous presentation on the PS5 that showcases one stunning experience to enjoy, and savor, and now all I can think about is sandwiches..
Caravan SandWitch is the cozy twist in gaming we all need occasionally. Anybody who enjoys a great story and some good music will absolutely adore this gem simply due to how much charm everything oozes. However, you’ll need to prepare beforehand for what might be a genuinely touching story that will hit a little too close to home.
I cannot say enough good things about Caravan SandWitch. It is a top-tier chill game. You can tell the instant Sauge steps foot on Cigalo: it’s especially calm for a post-apocalyptic planet, save for a massive storm brewing far out. The very few elements that didn’t work in my favour aren’t enough to even consider lowering my score for the game. That yellow van is instantly iconic the second you lay eyes on any visual of it. Caravan SandWitch has simple controls, colourful graphics, and oddly enough no sense of pending doom (despite Cigalo being on the edge of extinction.)
