Freedom Wars Remastered Reviews
A simple remaster of a Vita classic. It's hard to talk about rapture, but also knowing what the original offered, one can't particularly criticize the premise.

Freedom Wars is definitely something I'll go back to over time, because I've never managed to actually "complete the sentence" and I'm sure there's something insane at the end of it. If you think you can grasp the combat and missed it the first time around - the latter's most likely true - then it's time to plead guilty.
Freedom Wars Remaster only made the addictive action RPG title accessible for modern devices, but it did the bare minimum in terms of graphical improvements and the dull game's atmosphere

Freedom Wars Remastered is a second chance for those who couldn't experience the game initially or enjoyed the original version. Some of the problems present in the original, such as the confusing and strange story and the weak AI companions, are still present in this version. However, the visual graphics and gameplay sections have been well upgraded. If you are looking for exciting and fast-paced combat and can overlook some of the issues, this remaster could be a good option for you.

Despite its limitations, Freedom Wars Remastered is an excellent way to revisit one of the most fun monster hunting games released for the PS Vita. Its story and concepts continue to resonate and the combat, thanks to the improvements brought in this remaster, is even more fluid and functional. Unfortunately, problems with melee combat persist and some technical limitations hinder the package as a whole.

To sum it up, Freedom Wars Remastered is a good game to play. The only thing I wished for in this game is that they need to refurbish their menu features and fix the loading times. Plus, when completing the main story campaign, players can enjoy the freedom to play online with other players and hope the community that made this popular will rise once more.
Aunque con una presentación que no oculta su pasado portátil, Freedom Wars Remastered sigue siendo tan divertido como hace una década e incluso se han mejorado ciertos aspectos para hacer más fluida y disfrutable su aventura, donde destaca su modo historia.

Freedom Wars Remaster proves what this game could have been with a better management in terms of story and lore, and a more variety when it comes to enemies and environments.

I'm very happy that I waited to play FREEDOM WARS Remastered online before writing my review because its action-intense combat lends itself so perfectly to multiplayer matches that I can't wait to play it again. You know what? I think I'll go do that now. 🚨
"Fixing the original game with nuts and bolts."

Freedom Wars Remastered offers thrilling Monster Hunter-style multiplayer action in an intriguing dystopian world, but the improvements over the original are mere cosmetic improvements. It feels dated in many ways, the missions can be repetitive, and its narrative undermines its seemingly revolutionary intentions. It's a good game, and we're glad it's been revived, but it doesn't offer anything special.

Freedom Wars Remastered is a faithful but imperfect revival of a cult classic PlayStation Vita game. While it retains the compelling dystopian premise and addictive combat that made the original standout back in 2014, it also carries over some of its shortcomings. The narrative brims with potential, yet falls short in its execution. The visual design is imaginative, but can’t break free of its Vita-era origins. For returning fans, it’s a nostalgic trip worth taking, with the same-old addictive gameplay and just enough improvements to feel fresh. For newcomers, it’s a more challenging sell; its dated structure and design may not resonate with players as strongly today. But in spite of its flaws, Freedom Wars Remastered is a welcome effort to keep its unique world alive, and it leaves hope for a future that will fully realize the potential of its setting.
Freedom Wars Remastered is a good remastered for new platforms with an easy approach.

Freedom Wars Remastered is like a cross between Monster Hunter and a Paul Verhoeven movie. It’s a loud and often clumsy satire that is so audacious you can’t help but fall in love with it.
While it's always interesting to see some of the games stuck on older consoles back and re-introduced in modern versions, unfortunately, many of these games show the effects of time in various aspects, and Freedom Wars is one of them. While the gameplay and combat are fun, that's not enough to overcome the game's many drawbacks.

Overall, Freedom Wars Remastered doesn’t offer much new of major substance and is rather just an opportunity to get the game out there to new audiences.
Freedom Wars offers an action-packed, suspenseful RPG experience with engaging combat and a unique premise. However, repetitive quests, sloppy controls, and a disappointing narrative dampen its appeal. The remaster refines these elements, making it a better, but it is still an imperfect journey.

Freedom Wars Remastered doesn't bring many surprises to the table, but it's great to see a Vita cult classic find its way to current platforms. While it is beginning to show its age, this still holds up as an enjoyable title to play in 2025.
Freedom Wars Remastered is a commendable effort to make this unique title accessible on modern platforms. The game now offers smoother performance and improved controls, delivering its engaging gameplay more effectively. Despite shortcomings in variety and loading times, it remains a valuable experience.

Freedom Wars Remastered is worthy of the remaster tag, and worth your time if you are prepared for an interesting but slow story pinned behind a combat grind.
