Bleach: Rebirth of Souls is a decent fighting game that captures the anime’s story arcs but lacks engaging combat depth, making it enjoyable for fans yet repetitive compared to Naruto or Dragon Ball Z games.

Bleach Rebirth of Souls is absolutely worth it for fans of the anime and manga. Packed with fan service, you can spend hundreds of hours mastering your favourite characters thanks to the fun gameplay, with more content to come via DLC. Newbies can join in and have fun, and the story mode, while somewhat lacking, is well animated and offers rewards.

The latest game adaptation of Bleach is a solid entry for the franchise and as a fighting game. Whether it will stand the test of time remains to be seen, but the potential is there, and it has a solid base that can be built upon for updates and future games. BLEACH Rebirth of Souls is a real love letter to the manga, the anime and most importantly, the fans.
Bleach Rebirth of Souls is the first Bleach Game in a long time. Unfortunately this is not the winning formula for this anime. For the fans there is some entertainment to get out of the game, but not enough to keep your weeks busy. That is why Bleach Rebirth of Souls gets a 6 for the effort.

"A dazzling, action-packed fighting experience" Bleach: Rebirth of Souls offers a visually stunning fighting experience that captures the atmosphere of the anime, but it lacks mechanical depth and competitive continuity. Despite stunning cinematic moves and fast-paced combat, limited combat systems and weak online content affect its long-term appeal. The game is good, but as a competitive fighting game, it will need a lot of support.

BLEACH Rebirth of Souls is a title that, unfortunately, falls halfway between being a truly worthwhile experience and a missed opportunity. The gameplay, fun, varied, and more strategic than even the most optimistic could have hoped for, deserved a more solid online mode and greater attention to some features that have now become standard. The main mode is well-executed, but it lacks everything essential for a community to continue supporting a product of this kind in the months to come.

Bleach Rebirth of Souls is an arena fighting game with dynamic gameplay and a focus on staying true to the anime. Featuring a diverse cast, it offers an engaging experience that will surely please fans but may not be the game for those looking for something more complex.

For years, BLEACH fans have begged for a proper game. Something that captures the flashiness, depth, and pure anime nonsense of the series. And while Rebirth of Souls isn’t perfect—it lacks ranked play, crossplay, and a truly great story mode—it’s still the best BLEACH game we’ve ever had.
Bleach: Rebirth of Souls’ satisfying roster and flashy combat makes the most out of these characters’ abilities but simplistic combat and bare-bones modes do little to support a solid story mode.
The fighting system in Bleach: Rebirth of Souls is surprisingly good. The gameplay is deep and challenging, and even if you’re unfamiliar with the characters, the effects and animations make for impressive moments. However, the story mode is a big part of the game, and the lackluster presentation detracts from the experience. The cutscenes are too long, the fights too short, and the overall presentation is disappointing. For fans who come purely for the fights, this is one of the better arena fighters. But if you’re looking for an immersive story experience that does Bleach justice, this is probably best skipped.

Bleach: Rebirth of Souls brought me an intense mix of emotions, making me hate and love the game at different times. But, in the end, an appreciation and attachment to the game remained, which is even difficult to explain. This game is a good way to consume Bleach in 2025, with a complete story mode and interesting gameplay.

Overall, the faithfulness to Kubo’s art style is a big drawcard for existing BLEACH fans, and for arena battle fans, it captures the best elements of the game style.
Though a performance patch is definitely needed, BLEACH: Rebirth of Souls, at its core, is a phenomenal BLEACH game, capturing the style and substance of the series’ explosive battles and bringing its characters to life.
Bleach: Rebirth of Souls is an ok game. When it’s at its best, it’s delivering exciting battles and retelling a story many love in a streamlined and sometimes overly simplified manner. When it’s at its worst, it can be a frustrating affair that leaves you feeling a need for a more polished experience and nuanced.
Bleach: Rebirth of Souls is a must for fans of the original. It captures the style perfectly and lets you relive the story in an abridged, yet very extensive, form. The battles are something quite unique and set themselves apart from other arena brawlers, but lack sensible balancing. And if you don't know the anime or manga, the game can only be recommended to a very limited extent.
