Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour Reviews
However, it does feel like it may have served as a very effective pack-in title, perhaps just outside the pantheon of those I mentioned earlier. I get it, though: in a world where many don't have the patience for or interest in multi-page manuals, Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour fills a role. Ultimately, I come away with a better sense of the capabilities of my new Nintendo console, and that at the very least helps ease the pain of my poor wallet.
Do you really want to get to know the new Nintendo Switch 2? Do you see all the ins and outs but also experienced playfully? Then the Welcome Tour is for you to try. Win medals, discover every corner and experience the new technology like never before.

As commendable as it is for Nintendo to be so open about the Switch 2's most minute details, the game's flaw is precisely that it doesn't bring many gameplay elements to the experience. What is engaging gameplay in the minigames is buried by repetitive control proposals in these activities and tests that feel like school exams. Make no mistake: this is an interesting welcome tour. However, it reminds us of how much more special our arrivals to other consoles in the past were.

Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour is a decent introduction to the system with a mixed bag of minigames - but, ultimately, this should have been free.
Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour is packed with practically everything you would ever need to know about the ins and outs of the Nintendo Switch 2. The tech demos are a fun novelty, but they don’t go beyond that — a novelty. The minigames aren’t great, and the quizzes get old quickly, leading to a repetitive experience that is hard to recommend to anyone outside of die-hard Nintendo fans or tech enthusiasts.
I was surprised by which elements of Welcome Tour I ended up enjoying the most, even if this is ultimately an interactive encyclopedia for the Nintendo Switch 2.
Switch 2 Welcome Tour feels more like an interactive tech demo than a real video game. While it showcases the hardware's capabilities with style, its content is shallow, disconnected, and overpriced — especially considering you need all official accessories to 100% complete it. Interesting as a concept, forgettable as an experience.

Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour is a well designed way of introducing a brand new console with an array of features under the hood. I was quite struck by the complexities and considerations around all the minutiae of console design. However, the way it relays the genuinely interesting information can feel a bit tedious with a lot of reading and taking tests. The minigames and tech demos are fun, and nabbing all the medals are a nice challenge for completionists to keep playing through to that 100%. If you’ve got the cash to ensure you’ve got all the accessories needed to do so, of course.
Between demos, minigames, stamps and information centers, Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour does its job very well. It won't shock the world like Wii Sports or be a more complete experience like Nintendo Land, but it's a simple and straightforward perspective tailor-made for a tech-curious person like me.

The Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour features some elegant ideas, including minigames, medals, and tech demos, that give you an idea of what the Switch 2 hardware offers. Some of it, mainly the tech demos, are excellent samples of what the system can do, but ultimately, the medal chasing is little more than busy work, and it just leaves an awkward impression of being a game that should've been on the hardware for free. The minigames are also extremely simple and sometimes entertaining, but they never enticed me to return to them once I had finished what I was asked to do.
As educational and intriguing as it may be, the decision to charge for this learning experience betrays a hint of insecurity , that a free offer may be seen as worthless. While Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour is valuable, informative, and mostly engaging, it would have been better for it to adopt the practice of many great museums, free access so the content can shine on its own.
Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour is a technically great accompaniment to Nintendo Switch 2 that showcases the new features perfectly, however, the decision to charge for this interactive manual feels unjust in every way.
Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour is designed for a specific audience. First-time console buyers will find the experience clear, well-organized, and easy to follow. Those who are already familiar with the Nintendo ecosystem, on the other hand, are likely to be confronted with an unhelpful interactive showcase. It is not a real game, but neither is it a simple guide. It is something in between. A technical demonstration presented in style. Is it really useful? It depends on what you're looking for as soon as you turn on Switch 2. If you want to start off slowly, it may make sense. If, on the other hand, you're looking for something to actually play--better to go further.

Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour is just decent, when you'd expect more for something designed to show a new system.
Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour is a glorified learning module.
There isn’t any reason to return to Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour; with minimal replayability and no way for completionists to get 100% without buying peripherals and a 4K TV, the game’s shelf life won’t stand the test of time.
Welcome Tour is an interesting time. On one hand, Nintendo offers us insight into their past, and the thought process behind creating the Nintendo Switch 2. And at times, it feels endearing to get a peek at the hundreds of engineering years poured into the device. On the other hand, it feels very corporate and structured. I enjoyed aspects of the Welcome Tour, but I can’t say the entire experience was enjoyable. It feels like a gamified convention demo that lacks the soul of titles like Wii Sports or Nintendo Land.
Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour is, overall, a missed opportunity. An interesting video game experiment that offers original and often surprising content, but fails to keep the player's interest alive beyond short gaming sessions with minigames and quizzes that are certainly well-made, fun and also interesting, but not varied or deep enough. It still is a title that deserves at least a try: the idea behind it is interesting and manages to enhance the user experience, offering an engaging look at the hardware and features of the console.

Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour is an interactive introduction to the new console’s features - the concept is fun and very Nintendo, but the execution feels dull at times, making the experience feel like doing chores.

There is some fun to be had with Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour, particularly for trivia enthusiasts and aspiring engineers. Unfortunately, the game can become quite a slog as it goes on, especially as its minigames are very hit or miss.
