Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants Reviews
The Order of Giants is a small-scale Indiana Jones adventure, taking you on an enjoyable side quest that nevertheless feels like it's missing The Great Circle's freedom and scrappy improvisation
Fans of Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle will immediately feel at home among the streets and underground passages of Rome explored in Order of Giants.

For those who can't get enough Indy, The Order of Giants whips up an engaging Indiana Jones mini-adventure. What it lacks in scope it more than makes up for with some of the best puzzles in the entire game. And its standalone Rome story feels like a movie unto itself, filled with rich lore and moments of wonder.
The Order of the Giants is an expansion that manages to be meaningful, inspired, and cohesive. It honors the narrative legacy of Indiana Jones, while boldly venturing into new territory: the mystical, the theological, the supernatural, the subterranean. It's a tale of faith, mystery, and responsibility-a journey into the depths of history and the human soul. More than just adding hours of gameplay, it expands the vision of the world built in the original title, leaving the door open for new chapters, new questions, and new mysteries.

For those who missed it, Indiana Jones and the Order of the Giants delivers exactly that: more Indiana Jones. The expansion maintains the hallmarks of the base game: paced combat, challenging puzzles, and mysteries to investigate. However, it offers few new features, adds little to the main narrative, and can be a bit pricey, considering the relatively short campaign. Reliving one of my favorite games of 2024 was fun, but the expansion isn't exactly memorable.

The Order of the Giants is a well-crafted expansion that shines through meticulous detail, especially in its faithful recreation of Rome’s landmarks. More intimate and exploration-focused than the main campaign, it delivers atmosphere, strong level design, and an engaging story. While less epic in scope, it captures Indiana Jones’ spirit, offering fans an essential, captivating new adventure.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: Order of the Giants is the chance to once again don the whip and hat to relive the experiences of the popular Indiana Jones in a new adventure that complements the main campaign.

The Order of the Giants is an add-on that is well worth checking out. It's not perfect, of course: the puzzles could have been more daring, and the balance between stealth and combat could have been refined further. But the writing, setting and overall pace deliver everything you would expect from an Indy adventure. Needless to say, this DLC is a must-buy for anyone who loved The Great Circle.

For $20, Order of the Giants is more Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, but with less spectacle and more of exploring forgotten ruins and swinging around with your whip. While there are some locations that flavor that whip swinging, the DLC only teases us with what was so great about the main campaign. Personally, I think it is a fine enough adventure, but one that just didn’t wow me or remind me what I loved about the base game. Baker is back with his impeccable Harrison Ford impression, but I just wish he had more to chew on this time.
The Order of Giants epitomizes what a DLC should be. An incredible gaming experience, rather than a simple cash grab. This DLC is, as they say nowadays, absolute cinema. It felt good to reprise the role of Indy and enter a brand-new adventure that brings immersion to a whole new level.
Indiana Jones and The Order of Giants doesn’t quite rise to the incredible heights of the original game’s story, but what’s here is more of what I wanted. More incredible locations, puzzles and maze-like tombs, dripping with atmosphere and history. What more could a budding archaeologist ask for?
