Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight has all the ingredients of a great Lego game: fun co-op gameplay, slapstick humour, puzzle solving, and constant chaos, all handled quite well. What pushes it beyond a typical Lego title, though, is Gotham City itself. The world feels massive, detailed, and genuinely enjoyable to explore, with enough side content and traversal options to keep things enjoyable even outside the main story. While the narrative is fairly straightforward, the writing and character interactions keep it charming throughout. More importantly, the game understands exactly what people want from a Batman Lego game and delivers on that setup with polish from the start to the finish.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is everything a Batman fan would want. It honours the character, his rogue gallery, allies, and world with success. Whatever your favourite iteration of the Caped Crusader is, you can play as them. As a LEGO game, it is easily the most advanced and impressive we've seen yet. I haven't had this much fun with a LEGO game in a long, long time, and here I am, over the moon, elated by how coherent and fleshed-out Legacy of the Dark Knight is.

After spending several hours in the city, it’s hard not to appreciate the amount of care that went into this adventure. Between the impressive visual quality, the particularly successful sound design, and the huge amount of content available outside the main missions, the game constantly makes you want to keep exploring the city. Every district hides a secret, a reference, or something new to unlock, and that’s exactly what makes the experience so enjoyable over time.

LEGO Batman: El Legado del Caballero Oscuro is the best LEGO video game to date. The evolution of its combat and puzzle-solving mechanics, along with a more than substantial improvement to its open world, make this a title that truly transcends the classic formula we have experienced so far. TT Games has done a stellar job of turning this brick-built world into a universe with its own distinct personality.

Iconic scenes covered, ultra present humor (you only have to see how Harvey Dent becomes Double Face), staged almost cinematic and solid gameplay but which does not stand out from the Rocksteady production, LEGO Batman: The Legacy of the Black Knight will bring a lot of pleasure even if the sharp collectivity side and the immensity of the tasks to be accomplished will be able to tire.

Batman makes a triumphant return to video games, paying homage to the legacy of previous titles while incorporating all the humor and charisma of LEGO that the experienced Traveller's Tales developers have accustomed us to. A gift for all fans of one of the most important superheroes in pop culture.

Legacy of The Dark Knight is the ultimate love letter to everything Batman, from the original comics to the films and everything else surrounding this cornerstone of the DC universe, serving as a spiritual successor to the original Arkhamverse adventures. With an adventure spanning various eras, packed with jokes and references that pay homage to the original material, a superbly realised Gotham City brimming with content, and the return of Arkham-style combat—which I’d missed terribly—this title is a safe bet for anyone seeking quality action, whether playing solo or with friends, for both LEGO fans and Batman fans alike.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is one of the most complicated LEGO games ever. Instead of just replicating what had already been done, TT Games wanted to mix the accessibility and personality of LEGO with the dramatic narrative, exploration, and combat depth of current Batman games.

The game is certainly not perfect; the combat and puzzles are too easy, the vehicles could have offered more freedom, and those prompt bugs are just annoying. But there is a lot to compensate for that. Gotham City looks beautiful, the Batcave is surprisingly fun to build out, and there is a huge amount to do in the city. The story might not be very long, but the amount of side content and unlocks ensures that you won't be nearly done with it when the credits roll. For Batman fans, this is an absolute must-have and the best Batman game since the Arkham series. For anyone in the mood for a large, accessible open-world game with plenty of humor, many unlocks, and a wonderful atmosphere, this is also one to keep an eye on.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight feels like a return to form for TT Games in many ways. It follows Arkham's lead, pulls in decades of Batman history, and slathers it all in the well-trodden LEGO formula that values accessibility and charm.

Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a fresh improvement on the Lego series formula, trimming down the massive bloat. It’s focused, reworking years of Batman media into a mostly connected, large-scale story that covers years of the Dark Knight’s career. Feeling like one big comic book combined with an improved, if only slightly, combat system makes this the best Lego game in years. You might not be blown away by anything Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight has up its sleeves, but any fan of Lego or Batman would be doing themselves a disservice by not answering the call.

"LEGO Batman: The Dark Knight's Legacy" skillfully blends typical LEGO style and humor with countless gameplay elements borrowed from Rocksteady Studios' Batman games. It's undoubtedly a kind of lighter version of "Batman: Arkham Knight," as the battles, while highly entertaining and the puzzles beautifully creative, aren't particularly challenging, even on the highest difficulty setting.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a very enjoyable open-world adventure that celebrates Batman with great care and charm, honoring iconic films while expanding the series' gameplay with new mechanics and deeper combat. Technical flaws and limited side-content hold it back slightly, but it remains an outstanding tribute for Batman fans of all ages.

Describing a game as "a love letter" to something is a cliché, but the truth is, there's no better way to describe this work than as "a love letter to Batman's history." Fans of the character will enjoy a fun journey through the cinematic history of the Dark Knight, filled with entertaining puzzles and plenty of objects to find. However, those who haven't seen the movies and won't understand the references and might not forgive the numerous technical issues, the repetitive combat system, or the many minor flaws it has.

It’s not often I find myself being blown away by a LEGO game. In general, they’re games geared towards a much younger audience of players, and while LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight still maintains much of the playful, blocky heart and soul that makes the LEGO universe so enduringly charming, it also does something very impressive with the Batman IP, both narratively and mechanically, that makes it feel like one of those big blockbuster AAA Batman game that we would get from Rocksteady Studios. With it pulling from 85 years of Batman history, this feels like a worthwhile tribute to the Caped Crusader. It’s a reminder of why we love him so much, whether we first met him through the gritty lens of modern cinema, the animated classics of our childhood, the comics, or a pile of plastic bricks on the living room floor. Without a question, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a must-play for all Batman fans out there.
