Tokyo Scramble is one of the worst Switch 2 exclusive games made to date, with tedious stealth, outdated graphics, and a nothing-story.

On paper, the Tokyo Scramble concept isn’t bad. A survival horror game with post-apocalyptic vibes and dinosaurs? Sounds like a wild ride. There are moments of creativity and clever design, but these are overshadowed by monster maze monotony. Tokyo Scramble feels half baked. It's clunky and the story pay-off for patience is not worth the investment. Exercise your own patience, Jurassic Park it for now, and wait for the game to go on sale.

Tokyo Scramble starts with a few interesting ideas, but it never manages to make them entertaining. Between the messy story, unclear stealth, recycled enemies, and a gameplay loop that quickly wears thin, this ends up feeling unfinished. I kept waiting for it to click, but in the end, it simply didn’t.

Tokyo Scramble proves that putting dinosaurs in a game does not automatically make it good. You still need things like level design, controls, and fun. Right now, the only thing that’s extinct here… is my patience.

I wanted to like Tokyo Scramble so much. A Switch 2 exclusive horror with dinosaurs and a generous dose of that sweet, sweet jank is exactly something I can get behind. Trust me, I can somewhat look beyond janky visuals and horrendous sound, but what I can’t get beyond is just how devoid of fun this game is. It’s stiff, awkward, and restricting, much like the undercity in the game, which is the nicest thing I can say about this one. Tokyo Scramble is a scrambled mess of poor choices and bad gameplay, and I couldn’t recommend this one to even the most seasoned horror jank veterans.

TOKYO SCRAMBLE isn't a perfect game, and some aspects like repetitiveness and visual limitations are noticeable, but it manages to create tension and keep us hooked thanks to its stealth, exploration, and strategic resources. The underground setting of Tokyo and the Zino offer moments of genuine tension, while the multiplayer adds an element of intrigue by allowing players to tackle the adventure cooperatively. Although it falls short of Adglobe's more polished productions, it offers an entertaining experience for those who enjoy constant danger and strategic planning. Overall, it's a game that may appeal to fans of stealth and survival, though it has room for improvement.

Tokyo Scramble is a stealth-first horror game that traps you in derailed subway tunnels under Tokyo, with dinosaur-like Zinos waiting for you to make a mistake. Sneaking, heart-rate management, and Anne’s watch apps turn vending machines, alarms, gates, and elevators into tools for surviving short, stage-based runs, with GameShare co-op letting friends split movement, camera control, and gadget duty. The group chats and casual banter don’t always match how much danger Anne is in, but the chapter format makes it easy to play a few stages at a time and, paired with steady performance, it’s a strong fit if you want horror that’s all about planning routes instead of pulling the trigger.

Tokyo Scramble is a neat experiment and it mostly works, as long as you play the game in shorter bursts as it's designed.

No one can accuse Tokyo Scramble of being generic or unoriginal. It brings together good ideas and interesting concepts that, if better developed, could result in something truly remarkable. However, in the end, it feels like a melting pot of ideas and mechanics lost in a feverish teenage dream about relationships and subterranean monsters. It's a game with fun mechanics, competent stealth, and a chaotic and fun multiplayer, but it suffers from trying to aim at too many things at once. However, the studio probably knows the scope and the strengths and weaknesses very well, and perhaps that's what's reflected in the lower and more accessible price compared to most titles on the console.

Tokyo Scramble is an ambitious stealth adventure that introduces a handful of clever mechanics but struggles to unify them into a satisfying whole. While its dinosaur-infested setting and gadget-driven stealth show flashes of creativity, those moments are undermined by an incoherent story, repetitive encounters, and rough presentation. The result is a game that feels more exhausting than engaging, one that hints at a stronger experience it never quite becomes.

Tokyo Scramble delivers a tense survival-stealth experience built around exploration, environmental interaction, and avoiding dangerous creatures lurking beneath Tokyo. The variety of enemies and the constant pressure during exploration create genuinely effective moments of suspense. However, a weak narrative, repetitive gameplay loop, and underwhelming presentation limit the game’s long-term appeal. Despite some interesting ideas and solid tension in short bursts, the experience struggles to stay engaging until the end.

Tokyo Scramble has some neat ideas, but the frustrating gameplay, choppy performance, and poorly-written characters hold it back from succeeding as a stealth game. I hope the more inventive aspects of the game can make a return in a more polished title down the line, as Tokyo Scramble sadly isn’t worth buying for those alone.

Tokyo Scramble is a very rough game. It has a great, crazy premise: dinosaurs living under Tokyo, a young girl with apps, and a strong will. Some creative ideas can be seen in their natural traps. When it works, it's exciting, funny, and also kind of cute. But it's also too hard to forgive.

Tokyo Scramble feels like a title scrambled together just to get a release up on the Nintendo Switch 2. Despite having some good ideas here and there, it’s overall very unpolished, messy, and full of wrinkles that shouldn’t have even left the QA stage.

Tokyo Scramble isn’t a bad game by any means. It’s very much middle of the road. It does look exciting at times, with some areas standing out more than others, and overall it’s a pretty good-looking game. Anne and the Zinos are well designed, and some of the tactics you use to progress are genuinely interesting. That said, the AI doesn’t always behave the way it should, and once you get the hang of things, the experience can start to feel repetitive. The story is easily the weakest part, unfortunately, but when your premise is basically “sinkhole leads to dinosaurs,” there’s only so much you can expect.

Tokyo Scramble is worthwhile for those seeking a survival experience focused on tension and style, but less so for those expecting a stealth thriller with deep strategic construction.
