With great presentation, a well-written story, and rock-solid fundamentals, Star Wars Zero Company is one of the best Star Wars games in years.
Star Wars Zero Company is one of those rare examples where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. The solidity of its turn-based tactical combat blends seamlessly with the team members' progression mechanics, the team management aspect, and all the different narratives it weaves-from the overarching plot to the small personal stories. Each system, taken individually, is more than good, but it's the way they influence one another (mirroring the relationships between the game's characters) that elevates the experience and makes every battle (or every decision) feel like the most important one yet.

Star Wars Zero Company is the overlapping center of a venn diagram with Star Wars in one circle, and XCOM-style tactical combat in the other. It doesn’t take either one in bold, new directions, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. This is not XCOM in a Star Wars costume, because the mechanics, setting, and narrative are more than surface level. Star Wars Zero Company is a substantial addition to both the Clone Wars canon and the tactical strategy genre.
For a tactical game, the presentation and writing are polished and surprising, so much so that we would have loved to learn more about Zero Company and its mostly intriguing characters.

You can feel the XCOM DNA in Bit Reactor's debut title, Star Wars Zero Company, but its cast of rogues is the special sauce that helps it shine, despite a somewhat lackluster story and unfortunate performance issues.
Star Wars: Zero Company brings the best of Star Wars to the XCOM style of gameplay. References abound for any Star Wars fan, no matter your favorite era of the Galaxy Far, Far, Away. It’s such a unique angle to tell another story of The Clone Wars from the perspective of contact workers from different backgrounds. Clones, Umbarans, former CIS advisers, Republic royalty, and lots and lots of mercenaries. Star Wars: Zero Company looks great, plays great, and keeps you on your toes (no matter how many you might have).
Star Wars Zero Company is an excellent tactics game, with strong core mechanics and plenty of customization on offer. Set near the end of the Clone Wars, its story is exciting, and the cast of characters feels complex and real.
Star Wars: Zero Company from developers Bit Reactor and LucasFilm Games is a tactical masterpiece. It’s fun, it’s easy to learn, it’s immersed in good Star Wars lore, and it’s an incredibly deep tactical experience.
Star Wars Zero Company is an incredible debut title from Bit Reactor. A tightly paced 30 hour tactics game with some of the best Star Wars storytelling in recent years. Star Wars and tactics fans alike would be remiss to not check out Zero Company.

Star Wars Zero Company is strong as a strategy game and as a Star Wars story, but truly shines through its high customization and replayability.
Star Wars: Zero Company is a linear, story-driven experience of about 40 hours, with solid mechanics that result in satisfying gameplay, but it is marred by annoying technical issues as well as an inconsistent pace and difficulty level. If you’re looking for a turn-based Mass Effect 2 and you love Star Wars, then Zero Company is probably for you, but it’s not really the sort of game you’ll be playing for years on end like XCOM 2.

Aside from some minor performance issues (your mileage may vary) and the baffling decision to tie all post-processing effects together, I have few complaints about Zero Company.
Star Wars Zero Company really is great, and after a long absence from the forefront, it’s good to see the XCOM formula make a return. I don’t think it adds anything particularly valuable to the Star Wars franchise, and indeed seems to struggle to properly understand the qualities of Star Wars at times… but then again, Disney itself has been doing that to the films for years now, so it seems silly to be precious about purity when the property owners clearly no longer care about that. Ultimately, it is nice to have a blockbuster game that respects the player’s intelligence, and if nothing else, that is what Zero Company does.
A brilliant turn-based, tactical game set in the Star Wars universe. Perfect for fans of the franchise, and thanks to its many features, it’s excellent even for those who aren’t particularly familiar with this genre of games.

Ultimately, Zero Company is a great turn-based strategy game that happens to be set in the Star Wars universe. It never feels like a corporate mandate to make a genre game with a recognizable license. Instead, it feels like a group of talented developers genuinely wanted to explore what the genre could do and had the freedom to experiment. Those ideas succeed far more often than they stumble, and the game's excellent use of the Clone Wars setting makes Zero Company one of the most entertaining turn-based strategy games I've played in a long time.
Zero Company is another great success in the Star Wars universe, largely due to its compelling story, captivating characters with a highly functional relationship system, and very comprehensive gameplay for the turn-based strategy genre. While some issues arise, such as technical aspects and a lack of balance in some combat options, XCOM fans will find an excellent opportunity here for both challenge and enjoyment.

Star Wars Zero Company is, simply put, the greatest tactics game in the galaxy. Creating a story worthy of the Star Wars franchise, this tactics title delivers the very best in combat the genre has to offer, wrapping it up in a cinematic delivery of the highest order.
The first "Star Wars X-COM" is also one of the best Star Wars games in recent years. Highly suggested to those who look for a fair challenge.
