SiN Reloaded was awesome for its time. It has solid shooting, unique gameplay sections, and a fantastic story presentation. It’s a very basic boomer shooter by modern standards though.
As usual, Nightdive knocks it out of the park by revitalizing classic titles with enhanced visuals, gameplay improvements, and accessibility. From a gameplay perspective, SiN Reloaded is a decent shooter bursting with personality, but it has a problem standing out among the pack.
SiN Reloaded resurrects a forgotten 1998 shooter with sharper visuals, a toggle back to the original look, and just enough charm to awake a nostalgia in you if you're an older gamer or a curiosity if you're a younger one.
SiN Reloaded brings one of its generation's most overlooked "boomer shooters" back to modern platforms, featuring the comprehensive improvements Nightdive always brings to its re-releases. The title, however, still retains much of its original DNA, including certain design choices from its era. The developer could have made an extra effort to add features that might have further enhanced the experience, but what we have here is already a good way to experience this quirky game.

SiN Reloaded is a 90s first-person shooter treat, with the over-the-top narrative and fun gameplay making for an experience that holds up well today. Sure, it has some of the quirks associated with 90s shooters, but between the impressive lick of paint, the host of bonus content, and the fact that you’ve got both the base game and expansion bundled together in one package, there’s a lot on offer here for first-person shooter fans to love.
SiN: Reloaded manages to take an old, mediocre title and turn it into something worth your time. This is far and away the best, and in my opinion, only way to play SiN moving forward.
SiN Reloaded is the perfect way for newcomers and veterans to experience this goated shooter of the late 90s. It brings many improvements and optimizations to the table that not only enhance the gameplay but also makes its visually appealing and accessible to modern players. The vault is a treasure trove for anyone who wants to dive deep into the development history of SiN, while the ability to toggle the visual style to classic and modern is enough to relive the nostalgia. SiN Reloaded is the perfect re-release of this franchise for modern systems and should be on every shooter fan’s must-play list.
I’ve always had a deep love of the SiN franchise, while still being very aware of its shortcomings. With SiN Reloaded, there are far fewer of them, and plenty more here to love. The tweaks across the difficulty, level pacing, and weapon changes really help shine up this diamond in the rough and give the game the best chance to win over a whole new audience of Boom Shoot enthusiasts. If you’re a long-time follower of SiNTEK or just a curious bystander caught up in the war on drugs and corporate conspiracy, SiN Reloaded is the best way to experience this underdog collection and see why it, despite being overshadowed at the time, has maintained a strong cult following among classic first-person shooter genre fans. It would be a complete SiN to miss out!
If you're willing to accept some limitations in exchange for experiencing an important piece of FPS history, SiN: Reloaded can be quite an interesting experience. Just don't expect to find a revolution here capable of completely transforming a classic that's almost three decades old.

On one hand, SiN Reloaded is absolutely a game of its time, remaster or not. On the other hand, it still fits neatly in the current pantheon of retro-attuned games making comebacks or blazing their own trails as homages to history. It's an easy sell for anyone wanting to explore the annals of first-person shooters not named DOOM or Quake, a below-the-surface treat that did a lot right, and for most of what it missed, Nightdive gave it a second chance.
