Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare's bright colors, cartoon graphics and humorous approach are the antithesis of most first-person shooters. But don't be fooled. It's as good as any out there - and very likely an awful lot more fun.

With all the playtime, all the free updates, all the unique class-changing items, and the online community that will surely stick with the game post-launch you'd have trouble finding a game with much more to offer.

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is a game that should not go unappreciated. There's a little something for everyone here and even if you don't particularly enjoy online shooters, you ought to give this one a shot. While the lack of a more robust split-screen and internet requirements may turn some people away, but I urge these small factors not to impact your decision to check this game out. It is an amazingly fast,  fun, and deep title, and with persistent support going forward, I can only see Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare continuing to get better for the community.

Appealing to both hardcore shooter fans as well as younger and more casual players, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is entertaining, accessible, and oozing with charm. And while it's only launching with a handful of maps, the lower price point and promise of free content down the line softens the blow considerably.

In all, I really enjoyed my experience with Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, and plan to spend even more time with it.

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is a unique third person shooter that manages to rejuvenate a genre that's been cursed by the same boring mechanics and dull gameplay.

It is rich in depth and despite its often cheery exterior it is a top notch third person action fest that many gamers may have written off. Let me be clear that PvZ offers plenty in regards to tactics and skill and in my opinion I've enjoyed this more than any recent CoD or Battlefield game for its refreshing take on what some could argue is becoming a tired genre.

Garden Warfare is a surpisingly good third-person multiplayer/cooperative shooter. A refreshing light-hearted twist on class-based multiplayer games, with the depth and polish that you would expect from usual suspects in this genre.

When all is said and done, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is just a delightful game, and a ton of fun to play with friends. I can't recommend it enough for even the most jaded gamer. I have spent countless hours with the title, and still play it months after release, which is more than I can say for almost every shooter ever released on a console

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is an awesome third-person shooter based on PopCap's great franchise. The multiplayer modes are fun, hectic, and require a lot of dedication to master. The Garden Ops mode may be a bit too hard on the latter difficulties, but it certainly promotes teamwork.

The announcement of Garden Warfare was an odd one, but in the end it turns out to be a brilliant decision. Garden Warfare is colourful, funny, challenging, cheap and within a few months new content will make up for the lack of game-modes.

A fun and colorful shooter with unique visuals that's easy to get into. The gameplay mechanics are basic so players looking for something more may be underwhelmed; everyone else will be having too much fun with their customized characters to care.

It never hits the heights of Battlefield in its pomp, Call of Duty at its slickest or Titanfall in its explosive beta, but at its best Garden Warfare stirs the same emotions; the panic, the triumph, the tension and the elation. Whether anyone will stick with it once the Titans Are Ready is unsure, but PopCap has overachieved and delivered one of the most likeable games on next-generation hardware anywhere. Quite simply, I dig it.

With a few more tweaks, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare would be a must-buy for pretty much any shooter fan out there. But even with its blemishes, I was incredibly surprised by the amount of depth the game has to offer on top of all of its charm. Hopefully EA will ease off the microtransactions in the future and even more content will pile in, because with the right moves and support, Garden Warfare will be something special for quite some time.

Garden Warfare is different enough to compliment those long sessions of other online shooters, and acts as a great palette cleanser in a genre dominated by greys and browns that often takes itself far too seriously. The inclusion of local multiplayer is also a huge plus and, depending on how often you play with family and friends, can add much to the value.

As zany and colourful as the game that inspired it, PopCap's online third-person shooter is a fresh alternative to its grittier competition.

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare stays true to its roots, while at the same time branching out to new audiences by switching up the franchise's familiar format a little. The gameplay is rock solid, the music and visuals are adorable, and, while the release's multiplayer focus won't appeal to everyone, it's a finely pruned package overall. PopCap deserves credit for taking an existing concept, and making it blossom all over again.
