An excellent follow-up to 2014's The Stick of Truth, but with some positive gameplay changes and less consistent storytelling.

You just need to have the patience to sit on the pot for a while, before you can decide to shit and move on (to awkwardly mess up an old saying).

South Park: The Fractured but Whole goes beyond being just a fan’s wet dream, and is a legitimately great RPG in its own right

South Park: The Fractured But Whole improves and does pretty much everything the former did well: it's funny as the animation, it has consistent and accessible mechanics that makes it a great experience for both franchise fans and those who just want a good strategy turn based game, showing that the Ubisoft San Francisco team is solid and managed to deliver a title that is not only a great South Park adaptation, but also an awesome game by itself. It's one of those 'more of the same' that we can not complain about.

A must-have for any fan of the series, Fractured But Whole builds on the concept of Stick of Truth and provides an RPG experience that will please even the pickiest of South Park addict. It’s a licensed game that truly understands the source material and brings it into the game world. While the underlying RPG mechanics are solid, this is still something that will probably appeal to folks with Cartman t-shirts more than other gamers, so if you don’t like the show’s crude yet incisive humor, this may not be for you. But if you hum ‘Whamola’ in your idle moments, this is a must-have.

On the surface it’s a silly cartoon game with poop jokes but once you’ve spent some time with it you realise that it’s an RPG with brilliant gameplay and structure.

A slick RPG with superb tactical combat, a detailed world to explore, and a gleefully crude sense of humour.

South Park returns to our consoles not as a whole different game from The Stick of Truth, but rather as a new season within it's gaming universe, with the style and satire of the best South Park seasons, and plenty of jokes to acompany you through all the adventure.

This is a must-have for fans of the series, fans of fourth wall-breaking, vulgarity, and humour. South Park: The Fractured But Whole offers the complete South Park experience wherever you are, at the cost of no cut content, and no lacking performance. It inspires hope for more mature games on the system, and once again shows just what it is capable of.

Fractured But Whole is like a idiosyncratic, extremely funny and long South Park episode. If you are a South Park fan the fine details of this one should add to your pleasure.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole is another epic-length episode of the humor that's kept fans of the show laughing for 20 years. The Marvel vs DC parody delivers regular laugh-out-loud moments with only a few faltering gags, and the combat soon evolves into something much more complex and interesting than The Stick of Truth's simple system.

Despite its sometimes uneven writing, The Fractured but Whole is worthy of the highest compliment a game like this could get: It feels like a long, quality episode of South Park. It's an improvement over The Stick of Truth in terms of combat mechanics, ridiculous plot escalation, and amount of content. It's really all that a South Park lover could ask for.

A great sequel with much more going on, and is built with a lot of love and respect for the series it comes from.

The Fractured But Whole is a solidly good RPG game that incorporates the South Park attitude with a lot less “in-your-face” crudeness than The Stick of Truth. It has a better fighting setup, an easier-to- digest storyline, and is still laugh out loud funny at times. What else do you need from a South Park game?

A surprisingly complex RPG that combines an exciting story with malicious humor.

There's a lot to love about South Park: The Fractured But Whole. The action is clever, the humour is even smarter and the quiet little mountain town is still as charmingly familiar as ever when you're not busy farting your way out of danger.

Like its predecessor, "South Park: The Fractured But Whole" proves that games based on popular entertainment properties don't have to be soulless cash grabs. It doesn't quite have the new car smell of Stick of Truth and the humor can be crass and outright mean, so it won't be for everyone. Strong dedication to the source material, however, combined with the obvious love and care to do right by South Park fans make this a can't-miss game, whether you're a loyal viewer or an old fan who hasn't seen the show in a while.

Farts. Outrageous levels of social referential humor. These are but a few of the pillars The Fractured But Whole leans on to tell its story, alongside a satisfyingly strategic combat system.
