Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood Reviews
Stormblood is simply amazing. Not much more can be said about it. With a very well-crafted story, some tense and epic battles, two new classes, and wonderful zones, saying anything else would ruin so much of the expansion and what makes it great.
What this all amounts to is an expansion that doesn't push Final Fantasy XIV in bold new directions because, quite frankly, it doesn't need to. Stormblood takes everything that makes the game good and doubles down on it, expanding the world of Hydaelyn and filling it with more to see, do, and experience. Minor issues with its story and storytelling notwithstanding, this is everything I could want from a Final Fantasy XIV expansion.
Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood is one of the best expansion for an MMO RPG. It already builds on a fantastic base game to continue the journey with it narrative while introducing new gameplay features and playable classes.
Yet more proof that Final Fantasy XIV is the best MMORPG around.
Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood is one of the best MMORPG expansions in recent years, with a compelling and well-written main story, intriguing Far East setting, a wealth of new content and important QoL refinements.
Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood in some aspects is worse than the previous add-on, in others - slightly better. However, we get fun for several dozen consecutive hours with a promise of a few hundred more in further updates.

With Stormblood easily being their strongest expansion yet, and with at least two more expansions to go, there is seemingly nowhere for the already immensely popular MMO to go but up from here!
The second expansion of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn makes a full center and manages to make even more interesting a game that stoically resists the passage of time and business models. Stormblood in fact loads on his shoulders the thankless task not only of adding new areas and contents to the already alive Eorzea, but of passing a level that must equalize both the differences between the various jobs, and reduce the gap between those who can devote a lot of time to it and those who can not.

Stormblood is one of the best expansions we had seen in any MMORPG in recent years. It offers a great story; new and amazing regions to explore; a great ammount of addiitional contents that goes from missiones to FATES, dungeons or raids; and corrections to its gameplay mechanics that redefine its own experience. If you are a recurrent player of it, then there is no reason to not own it, as simple as that.

Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood is the most polished version of the game to date.
Thanks to Stormblood and all the innovations - Final Fantasy XIV is back on the honorary Olympus of the best MMORPGs on the market. Naoki Yoshida and his team did the impossible by making a great game even better, while fixing the annoying problems. The release of Stormblood only cements what some players have known for a very long time; Final Fantasy XIV is a phenomenal MMORPG. The structural changes to combat and PvP, as well as the two new classes, introduce plenty for both veterans and newcomers to sink their teeth into, while the emotionally charged central campaign is easily amongst the best the franchise has offered in years.
After playing the reborn Final Fantasy XIV for nearly three years, each expansion feels like a game of give and take. They’re very good, but tend to fall into the same routine as the base game. That’s not so much of an issue if that routine is a winning one.
Final Fantasy XIV is like a sculpture that has been handcrafted. Beginning as a rough stone lacking definition or vision, through unrelenting developer perseverance and support by fans that stone has been drawn into something beautiful and magical, an awe-inspiring work that sits proudly representing the Final Fantasy IP for all eyes to see.
Final Fantasy XIV just keeps getting better. Stormblood stands as an improvement over the great Heavensward, with a strong story grounded in people attempting to free themselves from oppression. There are some stumbles here, but when Stormblood is on, there's an excellent adventure, great characters, and some awesome enemy encounters. Stormblood is the ongoing foundation of something magical for MMO and Final Fantasy fans alike.
Naoki Yoshida and his team are at the top of their game here, producing something that is at both worthy of the Final Fantasy name and carrying on the astonishing work of A Realm Reborn's turnaround. More than that, it's a magnificent foundation for the coming months of patches. Long may it continue.
Stormblood's rousing tale of rebellion and exceptional boss fights aren't just exquisite by MMO standards, but rival even the most beloved Final Fantasy games.
