While what should be the biggest draw — the crossover and the story — falls flat on its face, Accel World vs Sword Art Online isn't a complete loss.

Fun and direct, Accel World vs. Sword Art Online is an interesting crossover that offers douzens of hours of intense gameplay, flying skills and an intense story with hours of static dialogues on screen.

Accel World VS Sword Art Online had the potential to bring these two words together in a unique way, but that ended up stopping at the story. The similarities between this game and Sword Art Online: Lost Song are just too much to overlook. If you enjoyed the past Sword Art Online games then this is for you, but if you know nothing about either of these worlds and are just looking for a fun action RPG, I'd look elsewhere.

Ultimately, while Accel World VS Sword Art Online: Millennium Twilight means well to try and merge what's cool about both Sword Art Online and Accel World, its high points are too few and far between to consider it a success.

What was once a mediocre game series has been made even worse. Technical issues and gameplay blunders are somehow shadowed by a bulky, contrived plot that believes in quantity over quality.

Any fans of Reki Kawahara's work should definitely check out Accel World VS Sword Art Online. Not only is it the best playing Sword Art Online to date, it also has a great story that links the two world directly together. It all culminates in a fantastic twist ending that managed to finally get me invested in the world of SAO, which is something the previous games failed to do. It's also helped tremendously by the addition of Accel World characters, as they immediately caught my attention.

Accel World Online: Millennium Twilight is designed exclusively for the fans of the original worlds, who are ready to have fun with their favorite characters and endure a poorly written script and exceptionally monotonous fights. Just do not say later that we did not warn you.

Chaining together Switch attacks and six or seven special moves to obliterate a boss in seconds makes you feel like a God, and that's worth the price of admission as far as I'm concerned.

With finicky controls and oversized maps, it's hard to recommend this game to anyone other than those who love the franchise and the two series themselves.

Accel World vs. Sword Art Online is a competent action role-playing game offering a simple yet solid combat system, good story and characters and plenty of content. Due to the very bland exploration and a couple of other issues, namely technical and controls issues on PlayStation Vita, the game can only be recommended to fans of both franchises.

With tight controls and an enjoyable way to get around large areas, Accel World vs. Sword Art Online features memorable aerial combat. However, story progression can drag to a halt at times. Though perfect for fans of either series, this may not be the action RPG that anyone else asked for.

Accel World vs. Sword Art Online is not a bad game at all; actually I enjoyed it more than some of the previous games based on the series like Lost Song or Hollow Fragment. That being said, it doesn't stand as a memorable game by any means, but just as an entertaining action title. Nothing more nor less. Recomended for diehard fans of the series.

Accel World Vs Sword Art Online is an interesting crossover between two of the most popular light novels in Japan, but only true fans of the series would be able to really appreciate it.

Accel World vs. Sword Art Online is a fairly magnificent little JRPG that surprised me with its depth of characters and customizable options within, and a world where I can fly, explore, and battle dozens of monsters along the way. I'm reminded so much of the golden PlayStation 2 era of JRPG gaming, with all the good and some of the bad that comes with that distinction. Overall, Accel World vs. Sword Art Online is a very solid JRPG title and one that any fan of the genre will enjoy.

This action RPG may not seem up everyone's alley with it being a crossover of two anime series, but it's a good time even without knowledge of these franchises.

Action jRPG mixing two different worlds – futuristic Accel World and fantasy-based Alfheim Online (from SAO universe). It's kind of crazy combination, but fans – and only them – should like it.

Accel World vs Sword Art Online is a hack and slash RPG with a lot of customization, but the game is hurt by its generic good vs evil story and complicated aerial combat systems.

While the improvements since Lost Song are noticeable and there's a huge roster of playable characters, because of its downsides it's a product for only the the hardcore fans of the saga (or sagas, in this case), just like its predecessors.
