Joyful and surprising, even when you're cracking open an anthropomorphised egg.

Even though the puzzles are simple and the interactions basic, I don't think this little piece of fun would work in the same way were it a static cartoon. Chuchel is a true universe, one that comes alive in bursts. This could not be done quite so well on TV or in a movie.

Chuchel is a creation of pure joy, an absolute masterclass in silliness, with pleasingly involved puzzles to boot. It's a giant cuddle of a game, interesting to all ages, and with a manic edge that never slows down.

Every minute of Chuchel's short playtime is filled with delight and almost every interaction is guaranteed to make you smile. It is a distillation of interactive fun that is the best example of Amanita's design philosophy so far. Chuchel is the total opposite of the games that dominate contemporary gaming and as such, deserves to be hugely successful. Just check out the trailer above and try to resist the charms of the little dustball of fun.

Excellent humor, graphics and funny characters make Chuchel a good game. Of course, the simplicity of puzzles cause slight disappointment, but it is still a positive and very high-quality project.

Chuchel is an amusing diversion from a developer attuned to their considerable aesthetic strengths.

CHUCHEL aims to be a mostly comedic turn for Amanita Design and succeeds due to a winning combination of idiosyncratic aesthetic choices and streamlined point-and-click mechanics.

Chuchel is a good game but because of same developer team, it is compares to Machinarium and Botanicula and Chuchel doesn’t have their quality. The Game doesn’t have a consistent story and the puzzles are mostly easy. On the other hand, the game has very beautiful artistic graphics and an appropriate music. At all, Chuchel is a fun but short game that worth the experience but don’t expect a Botanicula or Machinarium.

If you're expecting a game like the previous works of Amanita Design, you would be disappointed. But if you manage to see it as a two hours long escapism from the real world filled with joy and numerous funny moments, you wouldn't even notice how and when it ended.

Comedy adventure game from the creators of Machinarium, Botanicula and Samorost with funny, but too easy numerous puzzles and challenges.

Chuchel's overt humor and slick animations will make for an entertaining few hours but its simple puzzles and throwaway mini-games fail to ensnare deep imagination.

The bottom line is that CHUCHEL is not for everyone, but fans of Amanita Design games will definitely enjoy it. During the wacky quest to capture a juicy cherry, you'll feel absurd and maybe a little confused, all compensated with a good dose of fun. However, the somewhat chaotic narrative of the not-quite-engaging story may present an insurmountable obstacle for some players, while keeping others on their toes. For the affordable price tag, perhaps the biggest problem is the actual play time, which hovers around two hours, and that's simply not enough.

The hairy ball has arrived to set the most humorous note possible. With the good work of the Czech Amanita Design, Chuchel is a title that exudes mime, has an absolutely brilliant artistic finish and achieves what it sets out to do: bring out more than one smile. Despite its short duration, the adventure is ideal for all types of audiences and has a suitable price.

In a world full of issues, CHUCHEL feels like a recomforting hug with its childish and innocent atmosphere. It has various patent problems, however, and doesn't even get close to the level of quality of previous Amanita Design games.

Chuchel is a casual game with enough variation and challenge to engage an audience beyond children. He’s a funny little character and the world is intriguing and joyously bizarre.

CHUCHEL easily goes down as one of the weirdest games you will ever play. It has such a unique art style and wholesome humor that anyone can enjoy. You'll find a few hours of a good time with this game, but nothing groundbreaking that shakes the gaming industry.

Ah, so we’ve reached the point of the verdict. I’ve been handing out a lot of perfect scores lately, you know with Hellblade, Batman: The Enemy Within, Okami, etc., which is not something I do often and I’m a bit saddened that I can’t really give a 10 for CHUCHEL as well.
