A great return for one of the most beloved sports franchises. Mario Tennis Aces have a great single player mode and a functional online multiplayer mode.

Overall, Mario Tennis Aces just feels lacking in ever sense of the world. Lacking real tennis rules, basic quality of life options, series staple characters, and really any personality at all.

"Mario Tennis Aces" is the first sports game since, well, "Mario Kart 8" that's captivated me.

Mario Tennis Aces is a thrilling magic tennis game which feels like a combat game because of the energy gauge management and K.O. rule. It features easy to learn but hard to master, and is friendly to both newcomers and experienced players. What's more, it's extremely fun when you play with friends. The biggest issue of the game is lacking in the variety of multiplayer gameplay while the Online Tournament is the only valuable multiplayer mode, as well as the competition might be too intense for newcomers.

Be that as it may, I've booted up Mario Tennis Aces every single night since I got it, and it always makes me lose track of time. Missing options aside, I can't deny that this is the most fun I've had playing a tennis game since I was a kid, and I can guarantee that you and your friends will get serious mileage out of it.

Though far from an unqualified success, it nevertheless proves itself a surprisingly nuanced and less-surprisingly addictive sports title overflowing with personality.

Aces is the most complex and Mario Tennis game yet, but its online modes are missing some key features.

As long as the online keeps running well, Mario Tennis Aces will be worth revisiting. I still have my concerns of the new mechanics being a little too focused on the ability to block, but Mario's grand sports return has more than enough good in it to make up for smaller miscues like that. This is an encouraging return to form for Camelot.

Right from the start, Mario Tennis Aces, the eighth installment in the Mario Tennis series, feels inadequate.

Fundamentally Mario Aces Tennis gets things right much more often than it gets them wrong.

And it was in my second ship battle with the inky Blooper that frustration began to set in, because he was bloody near on impossible to beat.

Mario Tennis Aces provides a tennis-themed Mario game with an in-depth gameplay system that has the potential to hook you for hours. While it won’t satisfy single-player gamers, the basic gameplay portion of Mario Tennis Aces can keep you looking for matches online for some time.

Mario Tennis Aces doesn't quite excel in all of the ways that it could have, but the core mechanics and multiplayer action are so good, it's still worth diving in for some quality Mario Tennis action.

Mario Tennis Aces may have you bashing your head against the wall but Nintendo brings another great game to the Switch. Adventure Mode is a bit underwhelming; despite its infuriating difficulty spike, the story can be completed in just a few hours. Adventure Mode and COM Tournament mode are great precursors to the real highlight, the online tournaments. Going in, I did not think I'd be getting this incredibly enjoyable hyper-competitive experience. Playing people online is addicting giving you that “one more match” mentality that will keep you playing for hours. Mario Tennis Aces is the tennis game we've been waiting for.

Big Sport titles usually hit the market during the fall season and its hard to find any remarkable sport games during other times of the year. But Nintendo fans should be happy now, as Mario Tennis Aces, despite having minor problems, manages to fill this gap for Nintendo Switch. Mario Tennis Aces is currently the best Tennis game of the generation and is surely one of the better sport titles on Nintendo Switch.

Mario Tennis Aces is an entertaining Tennis experience but it could've been better with more options and longer story mode.

Mario Tennis Aces has a chance at being a great game down the road. Right now, it's simply good. The gameplay is as addictive as ever and the Adventure Mode is a great way to educate people on the ins and outs of Mario Tennis. It's just missing features that, while small, make a world of difference when it comes to the longevity of the game. I want to play Aces for the rest of the Switch lifecycle, but right now it's not giving me much of a reason to keep booting it up.

Mario Tennis Aces is a well-made, fast-paced, and fun tennis game, but it has some disappointing game modes and may not be all that engaging for solo players.

Mario Tennis Aces is awesome and a must-have if multiplayer experiences are your thing. It blends silliness with seriousness really quite brilliantly, and is a testament to Nintendo's efforts within this space. No one else would ever even comes close.
