The addition of great new characters like Nico and V, alongside the stalwart characters from earlier games make this truly feel like a sequel – bigger and better in every possible way.
Long awaited 'true' sequel to the DMC series isn't about only Dante AGAIN. Nero as a playable character still feels like a step back for the series. As for V, he is just one of the worst characters in the genre. With the boring level design and lack of action in the cutscenes, DMC5 is falling behind both DMC3 and DMC4.

Devil May Cry 5 is the perfect distillation of what has made the series great. Satisfying combat, gorgeous visuals, cutting edge speed and fluidity, and a bold, brazen and completely devil-may-care attitude towards seriousness or self-consciousness.
Devil May Cry 5 does justice to the series legacy, even surpassing some of its predecessors in some points. The excellent gameplay makes this one of the best action games ever created and the great narrative makes players pay attention on how the story develops. I'm happy to say that Devil May Cry is back and I hope it stays like that for a long time.

Everything in Devil May Cry 5 is ridiculous in the best way possible. The action and combat system are ridiculously deep. The graphics and music are ridiculously good and the story and fan service is ridiculous as well.

Devil May Cry 5 is an action title worth playing, filled with bombastic action, over-the-top character moments, and fun mechanics. It's a game that forgoes any sense of nuance and relies on simply overloading your senses, and often succeeds at doing just that.
While it is annoying that Bloody Palace mode is not available day one, it is coming as a free update on April 1st. Capcom has proved this gen that they are truly the best at 3D action games. They took some bold risks with the style and realistic flavour, and it pays off by taking on this new look that has never been seen before in any videogame. Even spectators are going to be extremely entertained by the spectacle that is Devil May Cry 5. Everything feels so fresh, and the advancements in the controls and fluidity in animation makes playing this refined masterpiece so hard to put down.

Devil May Cry 5, while seemingly shallow on the surface, conceals its greatest features and true experience for only the dedicated to discover. The satisfaction of finally overcoming a block in the game that held you back for so long is where the real experience lies, and the game demands that you not be weak of heart to reach it. Put in the time and effort that the developers expect of their fans and you'll truly be able to reap the rewards and see DMC5 for what it is; a truly off the wall, batshit insane romp through the best the genre has to offer.
All in all, Devil May Cry 5 is a solid entry in a franchise we'd like to see more of. It looks good and for most part, plays well. Although the new character V isn't as fun to play as Dante and Nero, there's more than enough to keep fans and newcomers interested.
I really couldn’t be happier with how this game turned out, and I’m a thousand times excited for where Capcom might take the franchise next.
This chapter of the series has something to offer for everyone with its array of characters, unpredictable story and impressive combat. Don’t think about it, just jump in and enjoy the Devil Trigger goodness.
