Astro Bot Rescue Mission Reviews
A generous and thrilling exploration of the wonders of VR.
Astro Bot Rescue Mission brings a genuinely new perspective to the platform genre.
Astro Bot is an excellent platformer with great motion controls, and its execution in virtual reality creates something fresh in a well-worn genre
I don't know whether the lack of conversation about the game is due to the chilled reception of VR in 2018 or too many other big games launching this month. Don't let either distract you from this gem. Astro Bot is a beautiful world and I encourage everybody to visit.
Not only is it the best platformer on the PSVR, it's also good enough to rival some of the recent releases on modern consoles. It's a fun, friendly, and charming title that will make you 'ooh' and 'ahh' for the game's duration.
It’s fair to say that few other games have enchanted me this year as much as this platformer.
Technical quality, gameplay mechanics, cute characters and interesting ideas shake hands in one of the best games of PS VR library. And not just that: probably is one of the best platform games in VR. It's hard to not surrender to its charm and flawless aside (the fixed camera, for example), it's a very, very enjoyable game.

Astro Bot Rescue Mission, like its titular hero, gets the job done. Although the general tone is low key at all times, there's very rarely any lows to speak of. It's polished and responsive, it just plays it safe with its subdued level design, relying on the VR "wow" factor a bit too often.
Astro Bot Rescue Mission is a delightful PSVR platforming adventure. It's easily one of the best VR platformers out there, and is an excellent addition to any PSVR library.
By dint of perseverance and experimentation, Japan Studio managed to offer the setting that Astro deserved. With an endearing mascot that could be fully exploited by PlayStation, which we hope, the title has everything we are entitled to expect from a VR production.

Astro Bot Robot Rescue is more than an extension of flat screen platforming, it is the next evolutionary step that all family members will enjoy.
First-party developer Japan Studio shows competence in the use of virtual reality, and even more in the way it takes the DualShock controller at the front of the action. The protagonists, Sony's Bots, are as cute as they come, and the general look and feel make Astro Bot a joy to play. On the otherside, the game does barely offer any kind of challenge at all and more variety in gameplay would have been appreciated by experienced players. However, it is good to see type of productions for virtual reality, which show great potential.

Easily the best platformer and PS VR game on the market this year. Astro Bot: Rescue Mission is a showcase to how VR should be utilized moving forward. Astro Bot: Rescue Mission is a must buy.
Astro Bot Rescue Mission is an imaginative and innovative platformer which plays to the strengths of PlayStation VR and delivers an immersive experience that isn't easy to forget. Stunning presentation elevated by insanely good animation ensure that you always feel present in the release's virtual world, while tight controls and genuinely clever level design will keep you engaged. This is the kind of game that will leave you beaming long after you've taken the headset off – and we can't give it higher praise than that.
Creative, VR-exclusive gameplay ideas embedded in a sugar-sweet world with sympathetic mini-robots. A feast for Jump & Run fans!
